Login problems

Not a bug as such (which is why I've put it here!)......
Over the last couple of days I've had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything onto my PC - due to some damned adware latching on and evading all attempts at removal.
However - I now cannot login to the game via my PC (although I can using my mobile).
I keep getting the 'browser error, cannot determine referrer page' message. I get this for IE and Firefox, despite following the instructions to overcome it, i.e:
I'm using Orange mobile broadband on my PC - which is what I was using (and successfully logging into SGW with) beforehand.
I'm now at my wits end trying to resolve it - any ideas?

INTERNET EXPLORER 6
This can be done from the computer's Control Panel > Internet Options, or from within the browser Tools > Internet Options.
Click Security.
Click Trusted Sites then Sites.
Add *.stargatewars.com website address in the box provided and click Add.
Uncheck the box that requires https verification.
Click the Privacy tab (Medium is an acceptable setting on the slider, but click Sites and again enter your website address)
Now click Allow.
Click Apply.
This has only altered settings for your website and this does not otherwise affect your browsing.
FIREFOX, NETSCAPE
Type about:config in the URL address bar.
A large collection of alphabetically listed information will appear in the browser window.
Search for network.http.sendRefererHeader.
By default, this should be set at 2.
If it is set to 0 - which disables sending referrers - right click it, select Modify and enter 2 as the value.
If that doesn't work, try a value of 1
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http. ... ererHeader for more information.
