I think the time has come for an increase in MT's, maybe to 5.
What are your thoughts?

I agree even if it were an increase of 1 I'd be happy with that.

I don't mind it, but will it affect the growth and speed tonnes? that would be the only problem that might be at risk.

Not sure tbh, but as they are increasing turn increase per turn, I don't think it will be that big an issue.

People have said they think it is time - but nobody has said why it is needed....
So my question is 'why is it needed?'

LMAO - you think you're clever - but you show your lack of thought in that response - you don't add something for lack of reasons that it isn't needed - only an idiot would do (or want) that, and the lack of thought on some past updates have resulted in the compound problems the game has today.
I still await a decent response - and if you are going to try and use wit, at least try and use all of it!

A better response - but how would it liven up the market? As I see it, and already mentioned, all it would possibly do is compound problems that are already existant in the game. It would allow the richer to be able to buy up even more resources, leaving less for the poorer/weaker accounts. It would potentially bring more AT into a game where AT are already massively abundant. It would allow 2 planets to be protected around the clock. Those are massively negative aspects that need to be stamped out, before this even gets off the ground.

You are talking here as if you would want to lower them to 2

Not at all - I'm just pointing out the negatives (and the absence of positives) if they were increased.
