Please define "Real" Alliances Bad Wolf.

The game has sadly turned into two super empires and thats it. Was chatting to someone about this last nite. You very rarely see other alliances going to war and even when they do members of the two super empires jump in. Sad times.

Indeed, a good topic of conversation.

It was nice to see TLE pop up ages back, because if you followed there history they spent along time planning there arrival. They picked there members. They had a aim and a goal.

Although now they are just 'the other guy'.

I havent seen an alliance / Empire in many moons that ive said " Thats what an alliance should be ".

Its a terrable shame, Why should there only be 2 sides ? Dont we need new angles ? Why do we need to all bunch togther ?

Does everyone even need allies ? offically or not. Do we need Allies to be in this game ?

Why not create what you think is the perfect alliance then, lead by example......

That is entirely the fault of 1 party whose expansions sparked reactionary expansions in order for the game to be in balance and competitive. Not content with that, that certain party decided to keep expanding until it was 3 times the size of its closest rival.

Thus all the pacts and military alliances are the repercussions of the actions decided by your HC and undertaken by your alliances as a whole and now the Server gets to enjoy a complete lack of diversity as the ingame bonds are reflected on forums meaning that the independent voices are literally outnumbered and drowned out by such large entities.

Their only hope to get anywhere is to gravitate towards one of the two powers and so as time progresses; the server becomes more and more polarised. They are given very little competitive choice where the options are to take a back seat, act as a satellite state or disband/merge with said superpower(s) further destroying what diversity is left.

FUALL has and always will be unhealthy for the server and why I am much happier with the TJP arrangement of independent entities standing up to a common cause rather than being a single complete entity that is far too bloated for the game at this stage.

Not only that, but your alliances own surrender policy seeks to affirm that:

6) You agree not to return to any TJP member team or ally after this conflict.

What do you think that is going to do should it become successful? This may sound like propaganda but for once just stand back and be honest about the situation. The current state of forums and ingame are FUALL's legacy to SGW for better or worse as their actions reverberate and affected the decisions and policy making of most other alliances.

Will there be real allainces again? That's a good question, hopefully yes. Realistically, not so sure...

what would be interesting is if the current superpowers were to completely destroy each other in this war and the game became a game of independent alliances. I wouldn't say that alliances shouldn't bond together and form agreements and NAPs, but i don't think that 80% of the game should be on 1 side or the other.

It's a dead end. Once there is one empire, other empires will form in order to be big and powerful enough to fight them. If we wanted to get rid of empires, one empire would have to make a start and disband and somehow I don't see that happening ;)

Way i see it is, if you dont want to be in 1 of the "super" empires, feel free to leave it and start your own alliance, if enough people share your views you will have no problem in getting members, its easy to say you dont agree with it, when your sitting in 1 of these empires.
