Ideally, how much G&R should you save up before ascending for the first time?

1,000 for supporter status, so you can broker away resources and not lose them all.
1,001 for actually ascending.

Of course, they're the 'minimum' and you may end up with a lot more due to 'readying' your account for ascension while sitting in the G&R range.

The only thing more G&R gives you is a greater number of APP and not at that great a rate, so I wouldn't really be worried about it.

yeah, i wouldn't worry about getting any extra, just whenever you're ready to do it and you have the needed G&R
