it's not the greatest title for a series, but my godd it's excellent. 12 books about vampiric society divided by physical differences (e.g., 2 vampire races go to war, vampires and vampanese, and a vampire mentor and his apprentice, a new vampire, join in on the action)

normally, i can see around the bend on where a books' story is goin 3 chapters before it gets there, but this...whoa man, u will be so utterly consumed in reading this you will literally take it with you anywhere you may think you may get a minute to read...and the last book throws so many twists at you, i read it twice to make sure i got it all right the first time...

Read the first two, maybe three. It had an interesting spin, like you said. And a different look on vamps than the normal "avoid daylight, suck blood, be evil" feel. Heck, I can remember when the master actually restrained himself because he didn't want to kill the human he was feeding on.

pretty good series, very interesting with a good storyline

only thing is, they are a bit childish and short

i managed to read a whole book within abt 2 and a half hours lol

A decent series of books. For fans of this, I recommend Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles if you're after some heavier reading, they touch on a lot of moral and philosophic issues ;) I'm addicted to them :?
