I prefer the system we have in Britain of not actually having a single, codified constitution.

But yes, as someone's pointed out, the American system does work well.

I prefer to have my freedoms, and cops that are not terrified of shadows. Thanks.

Even if you do subscribe to the bleeding heart view that civil liberties are on the decline in Britain, I still don't think the US of A can take too greater a moral high ground on the issue.
