People have been wishing one side or the other luck, or say have fun to one or both sides for a long time now...quit giving the mods more work than they already have.

Replies will be considered spam if they do not contribute to the discussion of the topic. This may include off topic posting or an excessive number of posts that contain nothing more than emoticons or small words such as ‘lol’. While it is appropriate to indicate something is amusing, drowning out a whole thread with such posts makes it hard to follow for all users.

That means CATS alot of post with only 1 word in like Lol or a smiley is spam if its done alot. Where wishing good luck is not spam.

Or other off topic post of that very topic is spam offcourse a small degree of offtopic is allowed.

I'm sorry , but i see it as helping them do there job , now they dont have to read every topic , they get the " iffy " ones handed to them on a plate .

I wouldn't have said it was spam, no, as it's information which relates to the topic. Even if it doesn't "contribute" to the topic, as you say, it still isn't silly/banal/irrelevant enough to warrant the 'spam' label.

I think people's main issue with "spam" in war threads is that it makes them so damn difficult to follow. Some people aren't on the forums constantly, and may only check them once or twice a day to see how the war is going.. and it's a pain for said people to have to wade through pages and pages of "lolcats" and sexual innuendo just to find out the latest news.

Warthreads should be a statement of who is at war...everything else should be in PMs.

(While that statement is a bit overzealous and not my actual thoughts it does represent my latest feelings towards the Game Over Thread.)

As for Guardian, AGA must not have taught you that war threads can be filled with more than just extortion demands and insults. Banter and propoganda are as much a part of the war as the actual massing.

Moreso, these days.
