sorry if this has already been suggested, but I dont feel like searching pages of suggestions to see if it has or not, if so, can a mod please merge it.
I was thinking that there was a lack of tech or a lack of initive to promote ascending for players. So what if at LG +1 your allowed to pick a new tech that adjusts one of your stats or one MS slot by 5% and then every asccension after that adds 1% to that new speciality? This would be on top of the normal ascension bonus, possibly.
Now I havent really but much detailed thought into this just something that poped into my mind, wanted to get some ideas and thoughts from others as well, so whats everyone think?

I would agree. Quiet a little nice idea. Instead of just getting 30% to all stats.. you could pick one that you like and stick with it.

Well i think the new bonus on top of the attack, def, covert,and income would aspire more players to go beyond the normal LG+1 title which
if you scroll through the rankings you will see alot. Plus i think it will allow smaller players to catch up because it will halt the growth of the larger more experianced players. Plus it will bring some dept into the game and allow things to get more intresting and the styles of play will show in acts of war and such....
Personally i hope this update is bought in because it will make it a nice little change into the game and will make things a lot more exciting...

Maybe... maybe... means people who choose to not ascend get more bonuses put against them , although there isnt much reason to not ascend anymore lol. I suppose it would be alright, more bonuses for going further than LG+1 which is where most people stop, to encourage more ascensions, but I dont know i never want to ascend again and i dont want any encouragement to do so , so it gets a no from me

yes, interesting idea...
but there should also be a part for those that do not ascend at all...
with only improving the status for those ascended, the ones not ascending will have a great disadvantage...
giving some sort of bonus to those going beyond a certain ascension level and those not ascending, will give a measure of balance...
for the unascended, the result will be that newer players will have a chance to grow in an easier manner than they would before...
perhaps the best would be to have the bonus set to available on the following ascension levels:
0
8-20
the reason for 8th instead of 7th, is that it would be another level of evolution.

Well I find myself disliking it actually. For one main reason and let me explain.
If you will forgive me Blahh, but lets use him as an example. Do you really want Blahh to gain another 3,5,9, or 15% bonus to his ATT???
It needs to be limited so it all cant go into one stat or something. Also, this will further the problem with true "sniper" accounts. As long as accounts can turtle shell and become "untouchable" I dislike this idea.
Make it so snipers can be hurt and I'm all for it, and im all for dumping everything in one stat if you so choose.

I like it alot! I feel something like this will make me want to ascended again. Blahh should not be punished because he has put in the hard yards in ascendeding but i know lore you were just Blahh as a Suggestion.

just using Blahh as an example.
The downfall to the idea still stands, until accounts can be hurt its a bad idea IMO. All your going to do is get more and more 100% stike accounts that carry no stat and nothing to kill.
Just think about this guys.

Well that on its own Lore is a different problem, I feel, strike supers somehow need to be made massable by an attacker (such as assassination in ascended). But still such a feat wouldn't stop blahh, im sure 500k supers a day really isnt much for him is it? But then again whats to stop someone from putting it to income and achieving incomes of 70bil+ a turn. You should be able to choose from income, up, and then stats imo. Just keep in mind that 15% bonus on a 1,000,000 UP is 150K, and thats a fair amount.
I really do like the idea though, would give more reason to ascend then just a flashy title and a measly one percent.

I agree, the entire point I'm trying to make is that making account untouchable is the point that needs to be addressed more then anything.
Blahh has worked hard and well and deserves his props. Its these people who dont play regularly that get under my skin. Appearing once a week or every 2 or 3 weeks. Always doing massive amounts of damage, and never having anything to retaliate against, and you can't touch them.
I mean its a know fact, Defense losses more people then Strike, coupled with Covert suffering higher losses then AC that means that two players of the same size and UP having a war,,,,, the "sniper" account who comes on solely to mass the other will grow faster as he will suffer fewer losses and never be retaliated against.
The only hope is to attempt to out grow him and that in itself is a flawed plan when your taking higher losses.

I like your arguement lore and that is the potential flaw I saw when I created the thread, tis why I sent you a PM about the thread

Even if this suggestion wasnt add, something to give players more initive to ascend beyond LG +1, anything in fact and Id be happy.
I like darkalbino's post well typed out, I think your right that there should be a way to kill strike units, much like in ascended, thats a good suggestion, anyone know if their is a thread with that suggestion?
