what is the basis for size? i tried attacking accounts with similar number of planets as i have but it tells me that the enemy is too huge or small.
can you also steal life force cache? how?

You can only attack ppl up to 5 times or 1/5 times your size (total planets). I have no idea as to why you couldn't attack those of similar size - bug maybe? I wonder - have your influence power changed before you started attacking? Sometimes the influence power goes wacko, maybe the 5x limiter is set on influence power rather on planets? That wouldn't make sense, though.
Nope, sorry, you can't steal life force cache.
Alas - these should be true unless Ascended changed without my noticing.
