Dear Admin,

I have been playing Main for about 2 years, and Q for 5 straight waves, so i believe i have enough experience to write this. I know many others have tried, but i feel the need to attempt myself.

Now, i love Q, these days i enjoy it even more than main because it has constant competition, something to aim for (winning) and it is always changing because of the resets.

Unfortunately, there are some things about Q which are driving people crazy, and desperately need to be fixed.

1) Feeders, Multies and 'the crit bug'

a) the critical bug - probably the thing that most needs to be fixed. Im sure everyone knows it, but here it is; you get an officer, they go on critical, this (for some reason) makes their weekly bonus HUGE (approx 1 days of your income) then they use their bonus, you take it from them. repeat X amount of times each week, and well done, you win! Now sure, i have used it this wave, everyone has! but the top 3 people have SO MANY feeders that it really takes no skill to win anymore, just lots of feeders/multies (i am not accusing anyone of multying, there is no difference between a feeder and a multi in my eyes anyway - they have the same effect).

b) Feeders - Once the crit bug is fixed, feeders shouldnt be much of an issue. AS LONG AS you cannot 'aquire naq' on the market. I suggest the following market options:

naq for turns
naq for UU
UU for turns
turns for UU
UU for UP (instead of UU for naq - so you get the UP equivalent)
turns for UP (instead of UU for naq - so you get the UP equivalent)

All, or any mix of those should work, and not be able to be abused by multies/feeders.

2) improvements...things i would love to see added

a) Military Experience - I know I, and others, have brought it up before, and I know that you have said you would add it soon...but i have to put in in here because i think - especially if it was ranked - that it would be an amazing addition :)

b) Make it so farming is actually useful again.. The first few weeks of this wave it was slightly useful, but not even completely necessary to do well. I dont know how to make farming effective again (suggestions please everyone) but i suppose it would have to involve innactives being a lot more juicy..

Thats all for now, i have to go out lol...but as i think of more stuff i will add it. also, if others give good suggestions i will add it in to my first post. Hopefuly admin will read this and take it into account, presuming others actually agree with me :)

Cheers,

HippyFool.

PS - PLEASE EVERYONE comment and add suggestions, the more support the better. i dont mind if you are saying one of my ideas is bad, and adding your own. we just need everyone to comment! :-D

I agree with you hippy, The amount of feeders people are using is absolutely ridiculous. Personally I believe that it is not the individual that is winning or doing so well, its all the accounts that are linked together to get big naquadah, so much so that these people barely have to lift a finger. Winning is becoming effortless and to those who are doing well with no such help, i tip my hat.

Of course there is no way to completely stop feeders, but like hippy suggested, getting rid of the ridiculous weekly amount that people can acquire from the bigger players, will certainly help.

Unfortunately i cannot see anyway to stop inactive players from filling up there banks and feeding it to active players.

It would be nice to see a wave in which people have to work hard to win :-D

To a point that is true, there will always be a small amount, that cant be stopped. but innactives have small banks and arent playing so...if someone asks 'can you please log on, click your bonus, then log off' most ppl will say yes.. but if you are saying 'can you please log on, farm all your turns for an hour, save it for me, dont get it stolen while you do it, then let me attack you for it' well...most ppl wont do it :-D

So it will atleast stop ppl getting rediculous advantages without lifting a finger ;)...they will at least have to nag alot lol.

It would indeed.

Quantum is dead for me now, i've waited 2 years for a decent wave and even when we have some promising ideas then there will be a bug, glitch, whatever that ruins things, doesn't get fixed for ages, or even worse like this wave is deemed "a tactic" because admin is too lazy to fix it and too scared to annoy the cheaters who abused it.

A gamemod/Admin actively checking and banning the numerous multies is the only thing that can save quantum now and that's just not gonna happen.

well all this is actually news to me. i never knew about the crit bug. i figured people had multis but i figured admin would delete them as he does for main.

I do agree with hippy some changes would be great cause as the people who have feeders are impossible to even catch those of us who actually try dont stand a chance.

I didnt know about the Crit Bug either. Admin could have taken the Microsoft approach and called it a "feature". Then we all could have used the tactic equally if so chosen.

Most feeders can be eliminated by removing market PPT's.
Instead offer a "Quantum Reality Shift" where you receive protection but no income is generated. This helps active players who must be gone for a weekend or whatever, yet provides no benefit to feeders.

Farming has been the only way I stay in the top 10. Not sure what you mean there Hippy.

compared to just using the crit bug...farming has been useless for a few Waves now.

I remember about 6 waves ago (when i didnt really play properly) that you had to farm like 60% of your turns just to afford to buy turns the next week lol. I know i was noob back then and some ppl would have been able to afford turns much more easily..but still, farming just isnt what it used to be :-D

ive farmed a crap load this entire wave you should see my logs lol. thats the only way i stay in the top 20. i may be able to drop to top 10 towards the end of this wave with the rest of my turns. but all my waves ive played fair i never find any bugs

can you get stats anywhere near this?

Defensive Action xx,884,836,000,000 Ranked: 3

even by end of wave?

because im over 10tril defense and i havnt even got close to where it will end, i simply built that to keep safe for awhile...

Im not insulting you, if i didnt know about the crit thing my stats would be much much lower, and so would alot of other ppls...but im just using it as an example to say that farming cant do much these days :)

What is the point of your post? This is a relevant issue and if you don't want to discuss whats important then don't post at all.

I found the bug out probably after a month of the wave accidentally. :o

My suggestion is that the policiancs and happiness should be out of the game and be changed to a Rank Multipier instead. The politicans and the Happiness are just a pain especially that it could destroy 1/3 of your army and also FEEDER accounts could just train supers to kill politicians easily without having to worry about any of his/her account.
