The Phoenix Awards

As some of you may have noticed, there is a mention of the Phoenix Awards in my signature. I have already fielded one question over what they are, but I thought I should clear up any confusion on the matter. Also, at the rate I'm giving them out, I'm going to need a place to hold the all the links, as sigs can only hold five, I believe.
Origin of the Phoenix Awards:The Phoenix Awards originated after Tetrismonkey continued his push for Jack's removal as a mod. That discussion can be found in
this area, as it was spread out all over the place. After one particularly irritating day, I logged on to see that TM was still continuing to bring his point to bear after nearly a month of discussion. And so, in an act of frustration, I decided to lay out as many faults as I could find in his post and awarding Phoenix Awards along the way.
Purpose of the Phoenix Awards:The Phoenix Awards are now my trademark for any ridiculous statements, posts, beliefs, or such expressed on this forum. They are meant to be ironic. For instance, stupid ideas are awarded the
Phoenix Award for Brilliance. Likewise, contradictions are awarded the
Phoenix Award for Consistency. Mainly, they are here to amuse me, and hopefully others on these forums.
Introduction of The Terra Awards:To balance out the Phoenix Awards, I will soon be introducing the Terra Awards. These ones are not going to be satirical. More on this development later.
Final Note: Are these awards egotistical? Most likely. Are they sarcastic? Yes, most definitely. Will any complaints stop me from giving them? Probably not, I'm enjoying myself.

In protest as one member of the Respect! group to another against the mockery of personal beliefs, convictions and world view.

Then I'll resign from the Respect Group.
Tbh, I didn't want to give you one, but you did make a long post. And I'm tired of people hammering each other on topics that no one really changes their mind about. People come on here as conspiracy theorists or "institutionalized" ,and currently each side is taking these ideas
too seriously. Am I mocking them? Yes. Do they deserve to be mockied for being so serious on an internet game forum? Imo, yes.
Sorry, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I'd agree with you if they were arguing about the game, but they are debating serious real world issues. The place that they just happen to be debating (An internet game) is really irrelevant imo..

I'd agree with you, if they hadn't been having the same debate for the last six months. I should know, I was one of the main arguers for that time. Side A would lay out points, Side B would disprove half and lay out it's own points, Side A would copy Side B and lay out the points that weren't disproven and Side B would lay out its own "invincible" arguments. Thread ends in a stalemate, until another was made on a slightly different note and the same damn arguments were brought out of the closet.
Repeat process half a dozen times in 10 page long threads, with very long posts on each side, and you find yourself in today's setting. With all the text we've written on the issue, we could make a book. Or a serious booster seat, depending on your use for it. And I'm sick of seeing the same things rehashed over and over again when it isn't going to change a thing. Hence, my awarding of the award to all involved in the thread.

Stargate does have a point, he did remind me of the line, though I heard it here and there over the years.
