This might seem odd but I want the choice to not see it or see another picture.
I hate spiders and don't want to see one every time I log in.

If you use FireFox you could always use AdBlock Plus, and specifically hide that image.

Question, why did Jason choose that pic in the first place? Why did he use something like The Doctor regenerating or something like that.

Because it's Stargate not Doctor Who.

But personally I feel he should have used Daniel Jackson image of when he ascended.

Of course, if it does remind you of a spider, that is probably due to your arachnophobia. Valid problem, if you ask me.

ImageBlocking addon for FireFox is a practical solution.. whenever you need to ascend, you unblock the image (if it doesn't show a link instead).. sounds like an answer.

I dont like spiders, but this one is ok, I'm used to it, however the ascended server login one I hate it!

@Lois - now I feel blind, because I didn't see anything offensive. Might be an idea to add a standard disclaimer to all posts. Mmm, point to ponder.

Re the picture. I've addblocked almost every SGW pic there is. Speeds up loading time and gives it a much cleaner look. And no, I don't hate spiders.

um have you guys no taste? that pic is from evangelion.... i think you actually see this in the first episode?> if not its definitely within the intro..

its NOT a spider for starters.

and the picture is to show an "ascended being" or the assumed idea of what one usually looks like. this pic simply expresses it so that you yourself can become a being of this magnitude. if you dont want to see it, simply set yourself in nox, get rid of your friggen gnr, or ascend.

if you dont like it get rid of it yourself and dont get it again?
you could even ascend and then become daimon... that way you wont have to see it ever<> lol

Yeah i feel the same but mine is gone for good reason
