Naq Cap bug? - Reference to update

Now, I'm not entirely sure this is a bug ... infact, it probably worked exactly how it's s'posed to, but I'm not sure if it's meant to work this way? Anyway, to the point.

I attacked someone who had roughly 80million army size, and 600billion naq out. Minor defense, so I nicked it. Now I only stole 400billion. Yes, that's how the mechanics of the game were written to do just that, however, if I had attack with say. 10 turns, I would've more then likely been around 450bil naq - 499bil naq. The new update only kicks in when the resources out is over 500bil naq ... however, on hits like these, I'll get more resources if I attack with less turns? 15 - I bump into the cap, 500bil, throwing the calculation into play. 10, I'm under 500bil, so I get the normal amount I'd take.

Anyone see my point? Or am I just bein' whiney. =/

With 10 ATs you wouldn't take more than 500, so no cap. With 15 ATs you should take 600, so you're capped to 500. 10 ATs and 15 ATs gives you the same amount of naq, lol.

I see your point - it makes ironic sense. Can't think of a way to make it more realistic, though. Apply the multiplier to all attacks for naq above 500?

you hit with 15 turns you should have got 500 bil, I suspect you didnt declare was and as such had a chance of getting the what is it 75-100% of naq stolen, and you ended up getting about 83.5% of 600 , or 80% of the max 500 (last one is more likely)

The update only works if the guy is over 100 mil, 500 x their army size / 100 mil, If this is less than 500 you can still take 500, if you cant then its a bug.
If you take within 75-100% of the naq next time try declaring war "You get full naq because youll be easier to mass"

This allows you to farm people with say 200 mil army for a tril, making times of if you have 6/7 tril defence you cant be hit for profit by anyone accept someone with like 15-20 tril strike, or someone with a lot of very high pwoered attack planets. Shame. :P

War was declared, and I hit another player sub 100million army who had more then 400bil naq out, and that's all I took. War was still set. =]

Just an update, things are still a little out of whack. Hit someone who had 480bil naq out, stole only 400billion naq. The new calculator is only s'posed to kick in for over 500bil hits, right?

I declared war, used 15 turns. It wasn't that. Ideas?
