firstly, troop loss:
should it be proportional to damage caused, if damage includes damage from planets?
secondly, maybe have it a tech where you purchase a tech similar to ascended blessing which would reduce your likelyness to incur full damage? explained below
if hit by 1T strike, and 500b damage is from planets
the tech would reduce your chances of taking full damage, or the equivalent of 1T troops's damage
so if u have 1m troops for 500b, where u need 2m for 1t, u take damage on ur 1m troops as if u had 2m trained
the tech would reduce the chances of that happening (say up to 80%)
makes planets a little less beneficial, due to their overpower'd nature
that, or have planets have weapons where u need to repair them every so often (or re-arm them... i mean planets have limitless artillery and never need repair? call it... old weaponry that needs to get reshined?)
