2k$.
Times change however, and the one who gets 2k for an account now most likely sold it to himself to brag.

I received confrimation that an account was sold for 3K at one time. Sale price was not made public, but the buyer confirmed it for me. As said tho, the price of accounts, and resources, have all dropped signifigantly.

Yes, and 2 years ago my mediocre old account (although good in ascension) was sold for 700. The dollar was stronger back then aswell...Interesting.

Not the world.. SGW though..
Can anyone confirm my suspicion that WoW accounts have dropped in prices as well? I think it's a general trend all across the world, that people don't buy things that don't really do something for them anymore.

They used to, when playing online games was hot, and everyone had money.

Now it's an elect few, or maybe a crazy few, who spend such money still.

I disagree that its a trend
New game will still increase in price, I think WoW same as SGW has "Plained" out. Most thinks arc as supply outpaces demand.
just my feelings.

Lore is right, with all the growth limits in place, the max price an account can sell for has fallen as many accounts reach the growth limits.
Though the price has fallen too quickly, thats just because of supply/demand, far too many people selling , not enough buying, and the ones who buy are always trying to push it lower.

Also as game changes are implemented and certain things get nerfed, the level of skill required to reach certain points in a game become next to none.
As such many older players grow bored and quit, or turn to something else to amuse them in the games, but with things becoming easier people do not need to buy game accounts.
