what's the story with that "the submited form was invalid" message i get every so often when posting?

How often does it happen?
Does it happen at this time each day or various times throughout the day?

various time throughtuot the day. roughly about 60%-70% of my posts have to be reposted. sometimes i get this up to 4 times in a row whit the same post.

Corran - are your ISP using multiple proxy servers? It has happened to me before on another forum. My settings were for "automatically detect proxy". What happened is that my ISP would change the proxy during a session. The forum then sees another IP address, and threw me off.

Fix: find a static proxy to use. Your ISP should be able to tell you what exactly to use.

it's not that forum throws me off. it's just this message. and i have always the same ip (i think. i checked it some time ago on the alliance forums. can't check it now cos after the update there this function disappeared)

It doesn't throw you of as in kicks you of the forum, but for that moment is sees a different IP on the post you're trying to make than the one you logged in with. It then tells you that the form is invalid. I suspect you have auto login on? The forum logs you in again, and if you're lucky, and the ISP didn't change the proxy in the meantime (some shift continuously between proxies, for some reason mostly favouring one) you can make a post.

Try this, everytime you can't post, try to see if you're actually still logged on, or if it's logged you of. I change my proxy tonight at home sometime to auto, and post the exact symptoms so we can compare.

Are you using AOL? I don't, so I forgot that it also makes problems.

I looked at your IP just for arguments sake, they are all almost identical. Just so you know.

I had that happen to me too although only when I was mobile and replying to pm's. What browser do you use Corran? Safari?

i use firefox ver 3.0.1

and i have automatic login switched off (unless there's some other automatic login . i'll check the log off thingy)

when i capped the temple i ran into the invalid form thing about 5 times....

i am running mozilla 3.0......
autologin off....

It happend to me several times.
I think it happend mostly when I was away for some hours and then posted the forgotten-to-be-posted post(s).
