Stat bug after a planet gets stolen ?

Yesterday a small & crappy planet got stolen from me : a 3 bil attack planet. At that time i had a 300 bil total strike as stat.
After i lost the attack planet my strike didnt drop with 3 bil but it dropped with about 27 bil to 273 bil strike.
When i retook the planet my strike was again at 300 bil , after turn when it dropped in power from taking/retaking it went as it should be to 299 bil strike.
Is this a bug or does anyone have an explanation (something to do with new update?)

I had the EXACT same thing happen when I lost a planet of 3.4B defense. It jacked my defense down 20B. It was really odd I thought, so I checked everything.
Defense was 107B -> 80B.
Ascended, Weapons, Spy Logs, Supers, everything. Nothing was different except that planet.
I think it is a bug, but that's my opinion..

perhaps the planet is giving a larger bonus than it should?

50,710,932,000 of that damage came from support planets.
3.4B Planet lost a few moments later.
38,174,286,073 of that damage came from support planets.
My dual planet gives 50,011,560,000 defense.
That is why it seems to confuse me.
I had a 55B RAW defense as well.. so it should have given the added bonus regardless from the dual. But fully repaired, retrained, etc.. it was stuck at a lowly 38B..

Could be the problem as well , but then the bug consists of small planets giving to much bonus of course.

Its not really a bug.
All of your planet bonuses are added up BEFORE the 50% of raw per planet is factored in.
Example.
If you have 1 attack stat planet, with a bonus of 20bil, and a raw attack of 30 bil, you will only get a 15bil bonus from the planet.
If you have 2 attack stat planets with bonuses of 10bil and 20bil, and a raw attack of 30 bil, the 2 planets combine to give 30bil, and because you have 2 planets, you can get a bonus to match 100% of your raw.
Thus you get the full 20bil from one of those planets despite it being more than 50% of your raw. The 2 planets balance each other out.
If you had a raw UP of 100k and 2 UP planets also at 100k, each planet would only provide a 50k bonus.... however, you could get a 3rd UP planet with 0 UP bonus, and your UP would increase by another 50k because you still had 100k bonus from the first two planets which hasnt been credited yet, and the 3rd planet gives you an extra potential 50% to raw UP.
Hope that makes sense. Its just a math thing, and the way the code was written.
Personally I think its a good thing.

I've heard about that before, and have all but forgotten about it. Sounds as it could be a good explanation.
