Main Server Lag

Yes, I know the lag when "ticking" over a new turn is probably mentioned all the time, and work is already being done to try to remedy it, but this particular instance was so bad, I just had to say something:

My personal record:
Time to Load Page battlefield.php at 3:16 : 206.520334 seconds

Feel free to reply with any other particularly ridiculous load times...I'll keep editing this post with the biggest, most ludicrous load time someone experiences (don't try to forge a record load time, folks...this is just for fun, so don't get too competitive), and let's see who gets it the worst, lol! ;)

Well, I was kinda hoping that it would "suggest" to the people working on the lag, that they work a little harder...lol :-D

Use the plain log in form and make sure you check the thing under it about page compression. it stopped my constant lag

That's just the thing...it's not constant lag (unless you just have a really bad/slow connection, or are using a mobile device to log in), it's only while the game is "ticking over" to the next turn.

Well I have a good connection, everything else loads perfectly. SGW lags at any time it decides it seems until I used the plain log in and turn lag is normal. Everyone gets it

y the f* would u wait 40 sec for sgw to load.. its clearly some date transfering problem, or turn change... just refresh the dam page or log off and relog in if its not a turn change.

Wow, okay, calm down there buddy, no reason to get so mad and start using language like that. For starters, repeatedly hitting refresh while it's lagging will only make it worse, because it only causes more strain/load on the server (especially during a turn change), plus you are also giving your own computer even more operations to perform that it would not have to otherwise. Secondly, the plain login may help for some people, but I have seen no need to use it myself, as I have not experienced any real amount of lag except during turn changes. Lastly, the only reason I see that would require a relog, would be if for some reason the site/browser stop working entirely...but lag by itself is no reason to relog, for the same reasons stated above (doing so would only cause you even more delay).
