I dont see this idea working really. Many people have build up their accounts too much already thinking the bonus was not worth it and would be gutted if suddenly they found out it was worth it after all. Massivley favors people who have ascended a lot.

I believe this is already the case.

I personally didn't see the point to ascending, and wasting the resources on getting there. But now with the ability to get to 23, and a bonus of like ~50%... Well, it's just economical.

Your 10M attack supers on an un-ascended, non-attacker, account becomes 15M super attackers (equivalent power), when you reach 23. Not to mention the 50% chance of being blessed, and that 15M(10m base) then becomes 30M(10m base).

As it stands, those whom choose NOT to ascned. Are at a major disadvantage. And those whom are new starting out, have to wait 11 months before being fully ascended. Would you really want to play a game, whereby, to start to match power with even the medium level players, would take you 3 months?

There is no way I would play a game thats been running for 4 yrs+ and I could reach the medium/average players strength in 3 months. Thats a sure sign of a crappy game.

Fair enough. I didn't mean get to the same power level/army size. Just to have similar bonuses at least

Love this idea Max.

Is basically A further improove ment to other such already existing updates/features like, custom title for older accounts, user difined race names, customiseable MS names, Planets and PDP's.

These idea's are popular as it gives you the ability to customise your interface more. make it more personal. And more fun.

Also though I think their should be a useful implementation for the new higher levels other than cosmetic. I still like my idea from a year ago of slight decrease in losses from attacks. So say from 20-25 x ascended, you go

21 - 3% less losses
22 - 6% less losses
23 - 9% less losses
24 - 12% less losses
25 - 15% less losses

These being losses in Supers/Mercs/Normal Soldiers whilst attacking/defending.

Then If Ascensions eventually extend further than 25x Ascended, perhaps some other types of new bonus can be added.

Ohh, so that massing is even easier then it is now :neutral: Isn't that the whole idea of increasing minimum strength of late?

Well since growing is being punished, being large is a disadvantage, and all the bonuses/protections and aimed at smaller accounts, isnt that EXACTLY what it would do?

Why should a 3 month old account have the same bonuses as me, a 4 yr veteran? SIZE MEANS NOTHING! a 3 month old account can buy in a day what I can grow in a year, so giving them the exact same bonuses I have means they have MORE of an advantage then I do.

As for choosing the name of your forces, not a good idea due to the childish and immature players who would abuse it.

I like the troop loss idea on first page, or a bigger stat % increase of 2-5% per ascension instead of 1%

personally, one of the reasons I don't play SGW anymore is that too much time on too many servers was required to be competitive.

I'd say that ascending should get easier at some point, not more difficult...

say, after LG+1, once you've really proved your mettle as a player.


I suppose Jason could push for more players to spend most of their day on the combined gatewars... but that only serves a short-term agenda...

the long-term effect is that Real Life catches up with more people more quickly when you try to get them to dedicate more of their lives to the game.

In that spirit, I would look over the long term to open up the Ascended server to people who don't have time for both servers,
and who might actually prefer the lack of alliances, (politics), and the anonymity of the Ascended Server.

Well that is true, Admin could either 1. Put in stringent filters.
2. The reporting system works if people that do care report it.

I personally Dont care about people swearing, And if you believe it is unsuitable for minors then I say admin should simply put in a "age restricition check" on registering. That solves the issue.

The reason I suggested the ability to change troop names and weapon names is due to the ability to change our race name. It just adds to the role playing aspect of the game. If you're a race of Jedis, I think it makes sense to have lightsabers as your weapon choice.

Yes, it can eventually be exploited. Nowadays, what can't. At least if you make it a benefit to ascending so many times, it will be less exploitable because they will need to ascend say 10 times to even be able to change their troop names and ascend 12 times to be able to change their weapon names. This is, afterall, about ascension bonuses.

I'm more concerned about being offensive. Not so much for personal reasons, cause i rarely look at the actual log, but more for the sake of the site being blacklisted/banned...

Do you really want SGWs to be banned from your school/collage/work-place, because some people are immature?

I agree though, it would be nice to have some sort of customization for reaching so high. Perhaps Ascension 25 gives you say 10 *bonus stat points*. For example, you reach ascension-25, and you decide, you'd really like a little boost to your income, so, with the *points* you increase your income production by 10 points (10% say). Though not each point will be 1%. For areas like MS, they maybe more like 2-3 points/% or something

okay, so just ascended to timeless,,,

when I bought my techs,, ascended blessings only went to 25%!?!?!?

What gives? I read earlier the Ascended blessing went up,,,
all I see is the 1% bonus on main stats...
