I'm Slovenian. I'm a proud Slovenian. I love my country and like most of my countrymen (even those on SGW -> even you Brdavs ).

But recently i've came to see something that disturbed me. Out of the people who I've interacted with the majority of those who send abusive PMs and insults are mostly Slovenians

Yesterday i've minimassed 2 players (killing both MSs and 4 mill supers) and massed 3 players totally. Out of the guys who sent me a PM (4 players), i've made good contacts and had fun. The only person to insult me (the size of my most private part, my ability to please my gf, you name it it was all there) came from a fellow countryman. Just to name one example that is. All masses were unprovoked and were part of the racial war against the asgard.

Now i wouldn't make much of this but I'm not the only one who noticed this. I've had a few people tell me this. So i ask the general public, what do you make of this? And i would especially like to know the opinion of other well known Slovenian community members.

All i have to say is that I'm deeply disappointed and i realize that i might be taking it too far or taking it too personally, but i believe in a code of conduct and respect and thus i'm not happy when something like this happens.

It's ok curu... I've long since just discounted the behavior as normal for the culture (whether this is true or not, I cannot say -- but it does seem to be more common as you pointed out).

When I did that, I stopped taking it personally. If I hadn't been able to do that I would have never been able to become as good of friends as I have with about half the slovenians in the game.

What do you mean "even me"? I`m as lovable as they come buddy! A frigging teddybear! To not love me is to not love... ME! Thats how lovable I am, I am a generic term for an extremely lovable being/object/apparition!

I think this is totally sloveno-phobic.
Only issues I`ve had have been with english native speakers. And you dont see me having a bad oppionion/generalization tendency about their nations. Not on account of them anyway. Well, theyre not the main reason atleast.

I think it`s you tbh. Hanging out with DDE`n`stuff. You`re a collaborator m8. You sold your slavic soul out. You cant expect the rest of us foreing trash to respond well to you now can ya...

Mate i completely understand what your saying.
Everybody feels disappointed and even ashamed when they see someone from their own contry make a fool of themselves and giving their country a bad name.
I'm from Romania and i know a few sgw members that are top class lads who are also from Romania..like bebita for example..he wreks everyones heads but his a nice chap.
But i to have seen other Romanian players that have made an absolute show of themselves and saw people judge Romania by their actions.
The only thing we can do is not be like them and make or own image of what people in our countries are like.

Seriously though ... i mass often and with the big majority of people i could get along and haven't sent me insults. I've only ever been insulted by fellow Slovenians

Hans i don't think that's a Slovenian trait, cause that doesn't happen often in RL with me and usually Slovenians are nice people ... although sometimes appearances deceive.

I`ll put it down as overreaction in my book. So you had bad luck and ran into a slovenian that you`ve had an argument with. Dunno why anyone would conclude anything but that. There isnt a non barbaric nation in SGW otherwise.
Thoe in SGW being slovenian has been an "infant terrible" for some time now so, heck, why not add "generically rude" to the list. Adds to the spice and defiance to the fight against the established hegemony.

Every culture produces its fair share of jerks and **Filtered**. Some of the most genial people I've met on this game have been Slovenians. Conversly, one of the few people in this game to make a RL threat on my life was from Slovenia. I think the same good/bad distinctions can apply to most of the nationalities represented on SGW.

Except the Australians. They're the true scourge of this game.

Well, hopefully most people on this game are sensible enough not to adopt the absurd Hitleresque logic of assuming that an entire race is evil after having a bad impression of one or two of them.
