"Registered COPPA users"
I never seen that group until today. All registered in summer 2007, all but two out of 27 never posted.
That's strange, isn't it?
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=10980one of members of that group.

@Legendary - I don't know from where you are, so I'm not sure if you know what COPPA is.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). All children under a 13 years must have parental consent in order to register on the forum. The parent must actually send some kind of verification to the forum admin which confirms that they gave consent.
My best guess is that those were kids who registered and got bored with the forums very quickly. I mean, most kids under 13 aren't very interested in all the game politics and ravings, they are more interested in playing the game itself. Makes me feel old...

I checked google and seen it, but notice dates of register. ONLY early summer 2007, NOTHING BEFORE NOTHING AFTER!!!

I'm from France by the way.

That IS curious. I wonder, maybe it was the only time that there was an admin or someone who actually processed the COPPA applications. Could also be that there was a bug on the forum that registered new ppl in that group.
This made me curious, and I went to look at the whole forum member list. There are 4349 members who have never posted. That is 42% of the forum.

Some of them are COPPA users, some are even members of Respect. Interesting...

Are you suggesting the Respect Group is actually COPPA?

No, I think he means that in both of those groups, there are zero posts users in both, and in respect it's super strange, because you are meant to apply with post in a special topic to get there...or you were, at least.

these people in the respect group may have been active here, just gone inactive and suffered 'nukings' as we of the temple of spam know it.....
my post count for example could have been up past 9k if the nukings never happened all that time ago.

Could be. I didn't need to post to apply for respect, but why register on the forum, apply for respect on go through all that trouble if you never intend to post!
Legendary is right - I meant that there are inactives in COPPA as well as in respect.

I don't know why inactive forum accounts aren't deleted.
Though I have noticed an increase in old forum seldom used accounts being used lately,

if old players came back to the forum to discover their accounts missing..... that might be bad..... also leaves holes for abuse of account deletion.

I meant all those accounts that are created but are never been used.

I wouldn't mind seeing 0 post count accounts 30 days old or more deleted myself

I think deleting forum accounts with zero post count, older than 6 monthes, who never visited forums again on last three monthes could be deleted.

we've never added members to respect group with 0 posts... might have been people who only posted in markets though, since posts get deleted there...
