Post your advice here mates. A lot of people are in war right now, including myself, and we sure could use some helpful advice and some few tips.

Some game veterans may also want in on this as they can compare their own methods against those posted here.

Please don't say buy resources with $$ or buy SS.

move it when you want to mate. i apologize for posting in wrong forum.

Don't have all your eggs in one basket. Only train a percentage of your army size, and be prepared to lose them. I've seen people lose 3/4 of their army size by over building.


You should have a maximum of 1/4 trained...... Also, ppt and contact friends. The friends who help each other, recover faster.

What i would do is farm & raid..If you don't have enough naq to buy at borrow some, u can always return that naq with farming...But yes all this is time consuming, but u can't do nothing without doing something

- Increase you bank size as much as possible
- save as much naq as possible
- raid rather than attack
- if your in a war send some or all of you resources to a friend that you trust so that when the war is over you can get it back
- utilise your PPT ie. 8 day PPT's
- increase your UP

These are just some of the things that I have done when I have been massed a few times.

never rebuild from previous resources unless ya prepared to loose em... so dont untrain miners to rebuild ya def, just rebuild it with ya UP, or raid a couple k AT to regain ya UU... this way ya not continuously dropping in size

during peace time keep you bank 50-70% full if possible (so you won't be caught with your pants down)

keep a large miner reserve

build up some contacts through friendship who can loan you turns

(this pretty much covers the recourses you need to fight a long term conflict)


either build huge planet defenses and have lots of merlin, or don't expect to hold on to your planets.

don't rebuild your mothership if it is always getting owned mercilessly.

use nox/crit when off ppt

Dont take that massing personally. Thats my advice. Starting a war only made it worse for yourself.

I think that is a great sentiment. I have found myself massed both directions from TF and The Pond. Understanding that it's just a game, and have a blast rebuilding, and that the people that nuked me don't know me (and therefore it couldn't be personal) is a boon in rebuilding. Keeps the focus on having fun!

What I've learned is to use PPT for rebuilding, and don't worry about too much in between that time. I want to leave a defense out there so other players can have fun with it, but I don't put out more than I am willing to lose. I think the 10% rule is an imperative. I've seen/heard of/know a few players that didn't watch their account proportions, and after they were massed, found themselves pretty much done.

Also, don't rely on planets...

Well, I've lost 5 so far in the war, so mine are not "untakeable". I hope their new owners treat them well!

I do agree, planets are an expendable resource, and though they might be around longer then naq or uu, they shouldn't be the keystone of your account.

don't build or spend on anything unless you are willing to lose it, and farm/raid to rebuild your def etc, and above all else don't take it too seriously, after a few massings, getting massed is almost as much fun as massing. Just play the game and enjoy playing it
