ive no idea where to post this, and i think clarkey is just trying to get personal hatred towards me out by warning me for something stupid..

Masking is not allowed. You clearly know this as you would not have masked the word in the first place.

I used Modded for a reason, I DIDNT want to use Modded OR Modded.. i censored it my self by using the * in my post. and for that this person gives me a warning..

Its called CENSORING clarkey, Masking would using an 'a' instead of a 'u'

learn english and stop being a mod

Masking is the use of replacement or additional characters inserted into a word so that the word cersors will not censor the word.

See section 5b of the forum rules.

The warning was perfectly valid. I will leave it up to the more senior mods to decide if reposting this deserves additional warnings.

Replacing any obvious letter with an even more obvious symbol in order to avoid ACTUALLY swearing is still considered masking. You can very easily refrain from swearing in posts and still get your message across.

He was right to give you a warning. You broke the rules.

The forum has swearing rules, and you seem to not understand that you are breaking the rules by typing the swear work and substituting a letter with either another letter or another symbol.

Swearing only makes you look childish, and people are less likely to take you seriously.

You can call it censoring if it makes you feel better, but you are breaking the rules, and therefore you will be given warnings until you are inevitably banned if you do not stop.

well they are teh only ones getting attention most of the time so i just only really hear about how this person is a big meanie

this kid is just mad cause im not his officer any more..

in the inside he is thinking to warn me and kick me cause i denied being his officer.. even though no doupt he will deny this when he posts on forum. and make a long post about something completely irralevent to the discussion and eventually start monitoring me to find anything bad im doing and warn me to get me 3 warnings...

A moderator is free to interpret the rules of the forum as he or she sees fit; with the intent of adhering to the philosophy of the rule as closely as possible. According to clarkey, by the way he defines the rules, you broke the rule of masking a swear word. If you do not agree with his judgement, then the ombudsman's corner is the place go to to for filing a complaint against a moderator's interpretation of the rules.

My interpretation would have been different. A swear word is a swear word whether you censor it or hide it or filter it, it is still a swear word.

Each moderator has his or her own section to moderate. It is up to the section moderator to define the rules of his/her forum section.

Again, the proper place for a complaint against a mods decision is in the ombudsman's corner.

On a more personal note... I do not believe that Clarkey is a shallow person, although he and everyone else is entitled to be shallow from time to time.

according to the rules of this forum, that IS masking. regardless of what you call it, disguising the offending word is against the rules. you got warned.... deal with it and move on. Clarkey warned for the right reason.

Amazing a whole thread with the very masked word that caused the warning used repeatedly.
