ok so i'm originally ancient but i've decided to try out all the ascended races to see which i like best... so what is so cool about being system lord? lols

Nothing. If you smack talk the Tok'ra, it gets you and your alliance massed... 
Besides, the System Lords are arrogant, have god complexes and think they are funny at the top of all.

As the host of my child, Teal'auc, said, there is nothing good about the goa'uld. They suffer from delusions of divinity, have inferior technology, and think they are funny. (Which they are not.)
