Would you like more broker slots?

You are limited to THREE (3) open trades at one time.
You have 3 currently ongoing and not completed.

I would like the maximum number of broker slots to be increased.
(Or reduce / let the trader set the expiration time.)

I'm very often stucked with trading resources because I have 3 outgoing trades and i cant have another incoming or outgoing trade!

My opinion :
  • 3 slots are not enough
  • optimal number of slots would be around 5-10 i think.
  • unlimited number of slots might slow down server or annoy players because some might set up silly trades.

Whats your opinion ?

its not broken, the reason i would like more slots is as i said in the first post is "i dont like to wait 2 days to buy 1k ATs".

I think there is a point to limiting brokers.

I also wouldn't mind possibly seeing the ability to obtain more brokers. Maybe its server wide or maybe it can be tied to ascentions? Actually give them some worth? IDK.

Intrested in where this goes.

I say 'No'.
There is no need at all to change the number.

Just find appropriate people to broker, people who accept quickly. ;)

Problem is (it happend to me already), if someone sells/buy uu, for let's say an amount of 7mil. Three people would broker with 2mil, buyer/seller would have time to tell 1mil uu is left, if 5 slots is implemented, it's possible that 5 people ask almost at same time for 2-3mil each, then it's excess of demand, and few will not get demand satisfied. Like it would be a rush each time and would become chaotic (for people offering small prices under average prices)

the same thing can happened with 3 broker slots so your reasons are meaningless.

this is one of those things that makes the game easier but doesn't actually improve it, 3 slots is plenty, its the number of different resources that can be traded and its plenty, no need for this at all :-)

the reason it comes out when you trade with many players in small trades. then you have to wait and maybe lose a deal. please reconsider your answer.

The only person who is loosing their broker space is yourself, no offense mate, I just dont think extra brokers are needed. The current system is fine, the fact is just because some cant take the time to make sure they are getting a fast trade doesnt support the idea we need more brokers. I myself is one that advertises that I only do fast trades! which means my business thrives on people being jerks about brokers. If your tired of waiting on brokers, make sure the person you are brokering, is online before you set a broker. Is their any reason the admins need to waste their time to update the code so that its more convient for players, IMO, NO!! Players are responsible for the conditions in which you allow your account to be in, maybe being more careful and tactful is a better solution then additional brokers. Anyway thats my postion on the idea, Im not saying Im completly against the idea, I just think people are being lazy and looking for an eazy solution to their own mistakes.

No - like Ifrit says - IT ISN'T BROKEN, so don't fix it.

Once again, this is a suggestion to make something easier because someone 'doesn't like to wait'. Tough - it's the same for everyone. The game is already too easy - so lets keep it the way it is and, if anything, lets think of ways to make it more challenging, rather than easier.

This suggestion is NOT needed - it is WANTED to satisfy impatience/greed, but does not actually benefit/add to the game as a whole.

As SuperSaiyan said:

SuperSaiyan wrote:this is one of those things that makes the game easier but doesn't actually improve it

It is also one of those suggestion that if it did happen, 6 months down the line someone will say '6 slots isn't enough, lets have more' - it's a Catch 22 and so the decision not to do it at all needs to be made now, and the suggestion put to bed forever!

Work with what you've got - as said before, it's the same for everyone.

And - the age old statement - it's a war game, not a trading game. This suggestion would potentially encourage stat building.

As for the other suggestion in the first post about reducing/setting expiration time - are you having laugh? Has exploitation written all over it. The fixed expiration time is there for a very good reason - i.e. to minimise exploitation.

So, bearing in mind the multitude of reasons as to why this shouldn't be implemented - i.e. only makes it easier, doesn't add anything to the game, isn't needed, encourages stat building, blah, blah, etc, etc? What are the reasons as to why it should be implemented, other than for the selfish ones already stated?

I voted yes but i do see a point to limited brokers as people do and would be more able to hold rediculas amount of resources between them if people keep rebrokering.
