IP exceptions are granted by Admins.

Not exacly. You can`t be hitted at same time form persons sharing same IP (I`m not sure how IP exepciont work in this case). But if this happen weeks ago there is no problem.
I checked this witch my bro, when we are at same PC we can`t hit same target (ie I hit/scan then he raids). But if I log in my home and he stays in his here is no problem. For example we knowh about same farms (not all ofcorz

) and I never see msg "there is war form your location" :]
Another thing is the persons you refering may NOT have static IP - typical dynamic IP changes about every 24 hours.

Actually there right, IP exceptions only allow you to trade with each other, not attack the same person, unless admin changed it, else anyone who has any family member or hell anyone at the same school/uni would never beable to attack anyone else that 1 person already has.

Actually, myself and The Pale Rider have an IP exception and we both have gotten messages saying that "that realm already has been attacked from your location" or something to that effect.
However, it doesn't always happen. There are times where we have hit the same player and no message ever is displayed.
I would also like to know the answer to this because we have an IP exception which in my mind means we should be treated as separate players.

no i had a friend who used my internet cos his parents couldnt afford the payments so i asked for a IP exception and i was granted one but when we came to war we have to pick different targets because it would say that some one else from that location is already engaged in battle blah blah blah some think like that i belive the ip thingy only lets you trade from the same IP not hit the same guy

ye i know its not possible , maybe after 2-3 weeks the logs are resets and they can switch targets , but if the logs remains then one of them might use web proxies to log in sgw with another IP, I dont think they have an IP public since its not frequently used for home internet. Probably an ISP.

There is a way around that attacking the same player from the same house hold anyways. You just need a third person not in the same house hold.

VPN
Remote Desktop (VNC/NX)
SSH Tunneling
Web proxy
...to name a few ways of having a different IP to another person on the same internet connection.

Ok, harlequin you don't need the tools you stated in order for 2 accounts to hit someone from the same ip.
As noobert said you only need a third person.
Process:
Account 1 hits the target.
Some outsider hits the target with one attack turn
Account 2 can now hit the target without problem.
