i had him try to get my msn user id and password with use of a link to a ilegitamate program asking for my password and email adress.

Then he's a Phisher not a Hacker.

At least he wasn't successful.

In future please do not post active clickable links on the forum when they are links to virus, phishing sites and anything else related to that stuff.

this is the link i was sent ... from someone i have barely had talked to... and if it was legitemit it wouldnt have my name in it. and to show me hes pics i shouldnt have to type my password and email

There is a known MSN virus that will see your name in the contact list and send PMs like "I saw you on facebook" etc.

This is one of those.. just send him a PM - if you know him in game, that they have a MSN virus - then block them.

Again, dont click websites/links from anyone (especially your family - cuz we know how well our family uses the PC)

This is true, i had a friend on my list who was sending messages to everyone asking them to click on a link.

sorry NO PROBLEM WONT HAPPEN AGAIN.. yes i have said something to him instantly but he wouldnt talk to me he is now blocked
