Detailed Fleet Suggestion - Warning Long Post

First id like to say that if anybody would like to point out that this has been posted before you can tell it to someone who cares.
Anyway heres my idea, Most people probably think that having a fleet of motherships would be pointless as the current mothership is pretty useless except for boosting ur rank. However i propose that a fleet of motherships could be introduced that would actually be worth the naq they cost.
Anyway first things first the mothership ranking should be changed to: (for example)
Fleet Ranking 168,000,000 Rank ???
(48,000,000 + 120,000,000)
Ill get to how the fleet works in a minute, secondly the types of ships in the fleet should be as follows:
Mothership - Same as it is now doing exactly the same thing (Most Powerful, Has no limits on amount of wepons)
Attack Ship - Offensive ship, More powerful attack weapons than defense (Mothership still has the most powerful weapons), Has a slightly increased attack and defence whilst attacking, Upgrades available
Defence Ship - Defensive Ship, More powerful Defence weapons than attack (mothership better), Has a slightly increased attack and defence whilst defending, Upgrades available
Support Ship - Supports Units, Weak offence and defence, Upgrades available
Upgrades for the ships:
Mothership - Has no upgrades other than weapon capacity and buying the weapons, no special abilities other than it can effectively double attack or defence by using its left over attack power (as currently)
Attack Ship - Can buy up to a certain amount of weapons (for aguments sake say 150 (attack and defence)), Fortification Bombardment (Gives your Attacking Troops An extra 10% in strength), Planetary bombardment (replaces fortification..) (Gives your Attacking Troops An extra 20% in strength)
Defence Ship - Can buy up to a certain amount of weapons (for aguments sake say 150 (attack and defence)), Suppression Fire (Gives your Defending Troops An extra 10% in strength), City Shield Emitter (replaces suppression..) (Gives your Defending Troops An extra 20% in strength)
Support Ship - Can buy up to a certain amount of weapons (for aguments sake say 150 (attack and defence)), Cargo Drop (Gives your Attacking or Defending Troops An extra 25% in strength,) Supply Beam (Gives your Attacking or Defending Troops An extra 50% in strength)(replaces cargo drop), Infirmary (10% less casualities), Evacuation Beam (25% less casualities)(replaces infirmary bonus)
The percentages are changable if the fleet turns out to cost more than there worth. Before i get inot the purpose of the fleet Im going to suggest some names for tauri vessels cause these names are pretty boring. I propose that every race has a name fore each of the types. For example tauri's could be
Tauri Vessel Types:
Mothership = Flag Ship
Attack Ship = Assult Frigate
Defence Ship = Shield Crusier
Support Ship = Support Frigate
Now to get onto the point of the fleet idea, Basically you have the mothership/flag ship which is the most powerful ship in your fleet. It has the best weapons, can damage the enemy troops, but unfortunately is the most expensive. After you have bought the mothership for 450 mil you can then buy other ships the three mentioned above. Every ship both attacks and defends the attack ship is better at attacking and the defence ship better at defending and the support ship although being weak initsself when fully upgraded is very powerful.
Cost:
The mothership costs 450mil Naq to buy, which you can only have one of.
I propose that the other ships start of at a cost of say 60 mil and then each additional ship costs and additional 20mil to buy so 1 st 60 2nd 80 3rd 100 and so. I think it would be a good idea to have a maximum of 3 of each ship and 1 flag ship. Alternatively the maximum amount of ships could be set by rank. The cost of the mothership weapons should stay the same but the other ships weapons should cost less in accordance with their power.
Combat:
This is how the combat will work your fleet and their fleet battle it out. All fleet vessels target the enemy mothership first, if their shield is disabled (i.e. the amount of damage able to be dealt is greater than that of the motherships shields), some weapoons and shields may be destroyed, then the fleet target the net ship with the strongest defence as they are seen as a threat. If a ships shields are disabled they will flee from the battlefield to avoid inevitable destruction, and by doing so any leftover firepower they have can't be dealt to the next ship of the enemies nor can their abilities such as the supply beam planet bombarment be used. After all damage has been dealt to the shields any left over mothership attack is fired upon the enemy troops and any abilities able to used are. Then the troops combat is resolved with the result of the fleet batlle in effect.
As you can see, one strategy that would make fleets a real benefit would be to have a mothership with very strong shields and attack, it could then blast away all enemy ships without any fire being dealt to your more vulnerable ships. Then your ships are free to power up your forces while the enemies fleet flees.
Now to make this suggestion better i will include a detailed example of how the battle report would appear.
Firstly rather than having all of the lengthy report in the battle log i propose that a summary is included in the battle report with a link to a fleet report for example. (the ship types for this report are tauri types as i haven't thought up others)
Schuesseled's Fleet emerges from hyperspace, their Flag Ship Daedalus spearheads the assault.
Borris's fleet fronted by their Flag Ship Challenger, meets them head on.
Schuesseled's fleet deals 48,000,000 damage to Borris's fleet
Destroying a toatal of 8 Shields, and 7 Attack weapons.
Borris's fleet deals 29,000,000 damage to Schuesseled's fleet
Destroying a total of 0 Shields, and 0 Attack Weapons.
A more detailed summary could be:
Schuesseled's fleet deals 48,000,000 damage to Borris's fleet
Destroying a total of 2 Shields, and 0 Attack weapons on Challenger (Flag Ship).
Destroying a total of 4 Shields, and 7 Attack weapons on StarFly (Assult Frigate).
Destroying a total of 2 Shields, and 0 Attack weapons on DefenseBird (Shield Cruiser).
Destroying a total of 0 Shields, and 0 Attack weapons on Stevenson (Support Frigate).
Borris's Fleet deals 29,000,000 damage to Schuesseled's fleet
Destroying 0 Shields, and 0 Attack weapons on Daedalus (Flag Ship)
Their Ammunition exhausted, no damage occured to the rest of the fleet, leaving them to take up positions around the planet.
Then after the summary or beside it there should be a link to: Fleet Report
I will now write a full description of the battle that occured as an example:
Schuesseled's Fleet deals 28,000,000 damage to the enemies flag ship (challenger)
Borris's Fleet deals 26,000,000 damage to the your flag ship (daedalus)
Having disabled the shields of Daedalus, it flees the battlefield
Having disabled the shields of Challenger, it flees the battlefield
Schuesseled's Fleet deals 10,000,000 damage to the enemies shield cruiser (DefenceBird)
Borris's Fleet deals 3,000,000 damage to the your shield cruiser (Prometheus)
Having disabled DefenceBird's shields, it flees the battle
The enemies fire has no effect on Prometheus's shields
Schuesseled's Fleet deals 5,000,000 damage to the enemies assult frigate (StarFly)
Having disabled StarFly's shields, it flees the battle
Schuesseled's Fleet deals 5,000,000 damage to the enemies support frigate (Stevenson)
Having disabled Steveson's shields, it flees the battle
After the the firing stops your ships, Prometheus (Shield Crusier), Strongarm (Assult Frigate), Supply 1 (Support Frigate), Supply 2 (Support Frigate) surround the planet and prepare for the battle.
Your fleet fire on the enemy troops and heal the wounded and resupply your forces, your attacking troops gain an additional 120% bonus to their strength, and Casualities are reduced by 50%.

As you can see if you've bothered to read all this having the fleet has provided the attacking troops with a 120% power bonus i.e. if it was 100mil attack it would now be 220mil. and casualtities are significantly reduced
