What do you support/use/prefer?

Yeah sorry, the 360 is what i was talking about

both consoles have their pros and cons. i still want a PS3, however i wouldnt mind a 360 either. purely because of the lower price and i want to play Ace Combat 6 sometime.....

simple answer really... no one should care they're just consoles.

However. Xbox360.

The PS3 is a glorified blue ray player. I have played a PS3 and a 360 at length (as I have both) and I can hands down say the 360 is a far better option for price, games and dare I say, graphics. (The play station game graphics were very good, but in more games then one I found them oddly incomplete on several games, the force unleashed being one of them.)

Not to mention the 360 has a superior online service and gaming community.

i think this really is a no brainer, however there are some girls out there who cannot handle the controllers (I have never heard so much rubbish in my life) and prefer the playstation because it has more power (a little bit more? and less memory!). Yeah well, it dosent have the games either, does it?

Knights of the old republic, gears of war, halo, plus many more.

I would rest my case at that point.

I meant the entire franchise. As I certainly dont believe halo 1 was the only good halo.

Yes, Gears of War II is good, ive been through it twice already, so ya know..lol. It wasnt THAT good, a dam good game, but it did not top the first one in my books. Is this like the only xbox 360 game you have ever played or something?

@ Jack, well I meant the first two games, that were PC and xbox/xbox360. The new one, well. Yeah they should go for it, more money on their part, despite how much I would love them to spite PS3 owners more....

I say go for ps3 - much better exclusives that aren't just a bunch of generic games. Free online and it's much simpler and easy to use. You also don't have a bunch of idiots from America shouting at you because they can't get a girl.
360 does have better multiplatform on games released at the same time but they're small things that won't effect the game in any way massively. That's the developers being lazy and a bunch of soul edit out and not making sure their PS3 version is as polished as the other versions.

Just remember that PS3 IS the better console overall for price and hardware. If you wanna cry about it costs more than a 360 - Ps3 is not a 360. It's a much better machine. Try buying a pc at the same specs of PS3.. then you'll notice that PS3 is a complete bargain.
As I mentioned before - PS3 has great exclusives. I can only think of one exclusive for 360 worth playing - Gears Of War games.
Ps3 has LittleBigPlanet, Drakes Fortune, Resistence, Motorstorm, MGS4 etc. All games worth playing

meh...unfounded opinions. Drakes fortune? LittleBigPlanet? Motorstorm? I have never heard of these games. Resistance I have, but lets face it.

None of the games you have listed are Halo, Gears of War or Knights of the Old republic. Which overall, I would put my money on, are far more well known and popular games. I generally stick to the philosophy, what is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right. But in this instance, what is popular is right. PS3 cannot offer any exclusives that tops any one of those three gaming saga's. I would give you MGS as an on par to gears and KOTOR, same maybe with FF (although I dont know whether that is a PS3 exclusive or not..) But Halo. Enough said really for the gaming front.

Technology? The PS3 does not boast that much technology over the 360. A blue ray and little more power thats wasted on crudd games. Easier to use? I doubt that! I found the PS3 is equally as easy to use as the 360, if not harder.

The PS3 only has one leg to stand on at the moment, and that is, its the second cheapest Blue Ray player on the market. (Currys in the UK actually have a deal where you can get one for cheaper now..)

Im sorry, but the PS3 cannot be defended logically at this time, maybe in the future. People defending it are just the ones who got spited for being brand loyal.

Xbox360 is awesome, have one myself. But I would love a playstation 3.


Frankly, because if you look back...Sony always has this problem, but once they start producing
awesome games, they don't stop.

Final Fantasy is coming, one of my personal favorites.
I play mainly for RPG's anymore, and I expect sony will have most of em.

Better hardware as well, though I must add that they lack memory. Only 512.

I like Halo 3 though, I rarely play my xbox atm.
When I can, i'll get a ps3. Which will be the only blue ray player i get, as I like multi tasking.

Even if i pay an extra hundred.......Then I have video games as well for a cheap price.


If you are going blue ray anyways, why not drop a bit more and get a PS3.

food for thought....... one of the claimed major flaws of the PS3 when it was released was that ppl thought the disks themselves (blu ray) would keep the games really expensive...... even after reaching platinum status they'd remain at about 99 dollars versus the original 130-150 (aus anyway....)

food for thought, i was in the city this last weekend and a number of PS3 games on blu ray were being sold (legitimately) for around $30.


besides, if i get the money, i would buy neither atm. i want a PSP. lol yes a PSP. i need something mobile. i spend a LOT of time on the bus and dont have a lot of time at home for gaming anymore......... will be more time at home after college but......... for the meantime.......
