Evening folks,

Just a curiosity here (I've been around a while but I'm baffled by this), where the UP flowback is concerned with a Commander/Officer relationship.

Here's a list of my current officers (names removed), and their productivity.

Race and rank have been removed intentionally as it's irrelevant.

My latest UP statistic is as follows - Unit Production 74,001 /day (234,460 total).

Now, based on the information I have always been lead to beleive, which is that 30% of the pre-officer collective UP count is warranted back to the commander based on the return of 30% income? Yes or no?

Is it mathematically correct to assume that I'm getting 30% back from these folks as my officers? Because as far as I can see, the numbers do not calculate. Does the potential UP income also reflect on a commanders RAW UP production? Would I double the productivity of my total UP with a doubled RAW UP?

Apologies in advance, I've had one or two drinks, and I kind of get the feeling I was better off without these officers (in terms of UU purchasing on a daily basis) earning 13bn per turn as opposed to 9.1bn per turn. I've ran the maths, and it seems I might be losing out.

I would really appreciate someone having the kindness to clarify.

No. the UP return is 15% based on 30% income to officers.

Not to mention the UP planet bonus changed while you were gone as well mate.

u can only get 15% of their pre-officer until half of ur Raw too.

Based on my own statistics, I'm losing out? (based on raw naq production produced on the basis that it's all banked vs the current market value of UU?)

630bn naq & 125k total UP vs 410bn naq & 235k total UP.

Over ten days...

6.3tr & 1.25m UP vs 4.10tr & 2.35m UP.

2.2tr difference over ten days allowing for the purchase of roughly 3.7m UU. Ten days of an extra 110k UU equaling 1.1m UU.

I think I serve to lose here.

EDIT - Yeah, I just wrote 'noob' all over myself.

630bn naq & 125k total UP would be the best

630-410= 220b naq
125-235= -110k UU
at market (650b/m) 110k UU is worth 71.5b

410bn naq & 235k UP would be losing you 148.5b naq

Perhaps I just don't like being a lonely player in a lonely galaxy. Probably best to remove them!

there is no benifit to having officers unless your real new.

Imagine paying over 9 bill a turn for 200 or 300K UU a day LOL

Rate also affects % of their pre-officer total UP to you. Max officer UP bonus is 50% of your natural UP, per officer.

I'm sure it was not there before I made this thread! I'm sure...
