Are there any benefits to new people starting this wave?

as far as I can tell a new account gets 400 units...and with the market not open for a week could mean a lot of link clicks needed lol

well not strictly true, people from last wave appear to start with more units...that is unless the sign up message on main was a few days late in arriving

To my knowledge only those who have previously purchased an SS have any advantage.

All accounts started in a previous wave started with almost 1500 units. New accounts start with much less, although that gap can be made up at farm fest.

SS gives an extra bonus over those who have to pay for market ss.

ah in which case I won't bother, with the few turns available for new players (as previous players also started with more) and starting behind in army means catching up withotu spending $ is not really going to be possible...shame looks like it could have been a good wave :(

it is very easy to catch up.. if within 2weeks you have a defence which can hold up, and retain your income your in a good position. But even then its not impossible to finish well...

High Empty and Gunz finished 6th and 7th respectively last wave.. without holding any of their income all wave.

So giving up because your slightly behind is not much of an excuse.

I agree with s1eepy..

Further away you are from top UP the cheaper it is, very easy to get a bigger UP at this point then the people who were spending on the farm fest just by filling your bank and emptying it into UP a few times.

Kikaz, are you saying its more expensive to buy UP upgrades one by one?

its more expensive to be the first one to increase UP. The further behind the top UP you are, the cost of upgrade decreases.

As s1eepy said, the further you are from top UP the cheapers yours is.

So to put this in simpler words if you wait until a few people have made your UP really cheap, before you buy your UP you can get alot bigger of an UP with the same amount of NAQ as they did.

Hence it is very easy to catch up if you wearnt at the farm fest, save your turns for two weeks, the farms will be at the same they were in the farm fest every turn and you'll have alot more turns and thus make alot more NAQ then the people who have been farming their turns daily.
