I try to attack someone wit 40mil naq and it says u cannot attack them they are virtually at ur exact location! The risk of self damage is too great! wat does dat mean? They arent on PPT so y cant i attck them

Someone with the same or a very similar ip has attacked that person recently, so you get that msg, i think its something to do with stopping multis from massing people. Its in the newbie/faq section anyway.

this msg is not when someone from the same ip address attacks that person, its the msg u get when ur attacking someone that has the same ip address than u, i know this cause my isp is the biggest in my country, and it uses a proxy server, so everyone that i try to attack that use the same isp have the same ip address for the rest of the world, only inside the isp network we have different ip address´s, thats why i cant attack most of my countrymen

its probably ur prob, or ur using a lan pc

You are both correct, it works both ways in order to a) stop multis attacking resources out of eachother and b) to stop you being massed by one guy with 6 accounts.

I'm not deleting the topic because it throws itself up when people actually bother to use the search function.
