New poll :P

I don't think i've ever put a poll up on these forums, so this could be my first..... scrap that, just thought of the forum skill poll.
Anyway, i'm just interested in community opinion about people massing Mods ingame purely because of a Mods actions on the Forums, and nothing to do with said Mods actions ingame as a fellow player.
Do you consider this acceptable?
I'd like honest answers and not people thinking of any Mods specifically, just a general answer.
Personally I have had enough of it.
EDIT: This does not include if Mods are rude or disrespectful to people. THis is purely about if someone is given a warning or a banning. No personal circumstances involved.

what happens on the Mile stays on the Mile...whoops, soz i was stuck in film mode

seriously, no, what is said on the boards (unless war related) should stay on the boards.
there should be a clear line in a persons mind "this side of the line is cool, that side is not", and if there are people (which we know there is) who cant see the line, well, they need to grow up a bit or relax a bit more or something...

I agree with KMA. If a mod is doing their job, impartially and fairly, then the community of players should respect that and let them do their job.

But what if due to the moderator acting so exemplary, a player feels personally insulted? There's no accounting for who is not and who is non compos mentis.
And hypothetically: What if a mod masses a player to get them to listen?

i assume the author is asking if he was only doing his duty without over stepping his bounds and was well within his rights as to his authority...
trust you to bring up exceptional circumstances

id agree that if I had been insulted, just as if I had been insulted through PM's or msn, on the forum by a mod (as they are still a player) id treat them the same

May have pretty coloured name tags, but doesnt allow them to get away with anything.
Saying that I wouldnt go mass them for being just mods, or locking a topic I wanted left open

What i'm getting at is being massed for Mod actions, no personal actions. if i insult someone whether i'm being myself or a mod then yes i'd expect to be struck back, but this is purely doing a job without any personal circumstances.

Yes mainly if someone receives a warning or gets banned for receiving 3 or more warnings.
That's generally when things like that happen.

Those are the silly ones.. though it does get messy when they can beat you.

My answer is yes
Reason?
People are massed for 1001 and more reasons and also an individual in this game doesnt need the smartest reason to mass you.
Therefor people who become mods should be aware of the risk that comes with doing your mod job therefor I also suggested long ago that members of the mod team are also people who have some influence in this game are more or less respected amongst the people as their actions wont be resticted with fear what will happen to them ingame.

It can be seen as a weakness from the masser, not weakness ingame-wise, but weakness forumwise.
(in other words, flex muscles by lack of other solution)
That's what I have been told about massing mods for their actions (if not abuse of power)

of course it is
there is no such thing as anything that's not personal, even the decisions by the mods have some kind of personal influence. (unless the mods have absolutely no contact with the members of this community other than their modding, in which case they wouldn't have ingame accounts and wouldn't have any history with the members of this community).

as i said, peeps need to grow up!
unless a mod is engaged in a war and its war related, i see absolutely no reason why a mod should be massed for doing a FREE job.
think about it guys, you get some toe rag on the forum with little to no respect for anyone, and said toe rag gets banished for lack of respect and decency (and we've seen our fair share of toe rags on these boards), how is it right that a mod get massed for removing someone like that?
i cant understand how we could even be discussing this
