Here some tutorials for ya. lol

Sig Colouring and Render Blending: (Images are too big so i'll link them)

1. First open your sig. This will work with any style (grunge, abstract, tech) but I am using grunge.

2. Now put on your render. (make sure that it's on the top layer!) and use the smudge tool to smudge all over the sig.

3. Set the smudged layer on overlay, duplicate it then set the duplicated layer on soft light.

4. Now, add your render... again. Duplicate the render layer and set it to soft light (overlay is another option) on the soft light render layer to go Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set it at 2.

5. Now just add some text and a border.

I'd like to comment.

Tutorials are the biggest problem with design in my opinion because everybody ends up using the same style.

If you want to be a really good graphic designer you need to learn photoshop inside out, and then do things that nobody else has done.

I do know that but still; people tend to end up using only the techniques they learn in tutorials rather than coming up with their own stuff.

I can see what you mean, people often use the tutorial for most of their sigs making all their sigs look the same..it does get boring

Personally, I hate using tuts, you can never get the best result as each sig looks different and needs different gradients lighting effects etc
