Time for you to step up

Bill,
(first of all, this has nothing to do with me not becoming a mod, this is clear observation for anyone too see)
MODS should not post in this topic as you will just swap the topic away from what its meant for.
Time for you to step up and find out whats going on with the mods, clearly there is something going on, look at some of the recent ones promoted not exactly a good track record, and then today we have 2 mods quit, Deni, who was a mod, and the head market mod, who always sorted the issues in the market that i pointed her towards, then Clarkey who also seems to have stepped down too, and as much as i think this guy as the sense of humor of a dead horse, he still did a hell of alot around here regards bug/cheaters.
2 years ago people complained that the forums where unfair and bias because it was OE that where mainly in control, and now well just look, im sure if you asked privately the mods would tell you exactly where the source of the problem lies, only they dont have the power to do anything about it,
I think its time to maybe swap some of the forum admins around, to get some new life up there, as clearly there is an issue with 1 or 2 of them and most of the mod team.
Jason always wanted the mods to run themselves via promotions etc well that only works when the top of the chain is fair, and well at the moment it is not, this is clear to see now.
Ill try catch you on msn if i see you about.
Thanks
This post is from me, a forum user to the Ombudsman, about issues that i see getting worse unless stopped now, Mods should not post here.

*sits at counter and watches with clip board in between his folded arms*
One has to wonder though....have you asked Deni and Clarkey?
I do not think it is Bias GC, but something else...maybe a little more simple.

Tetrismonkey wrote:General, I feel your pain. Things seem to only go one direction. The fact some of the new mods do nothing but spam or post pointless speach and yet they become mods, is astonding. Yes give those newer people to forums a chance, but what about us middle people that come to the forums to help. I will say this, the new Admins are better than having the old bias admin.... OOPS.....
All I have to say to this is...the new people have been mods for three days? Give them a chance mate..
...My point is, it still seems things are played off as favortisism, and not based off of what a user can do to help the forums.
No..if you knew the admins a little better you would see that. I am good friends with Buck, and I am certainly no stranger to Lore who knows I have excellent modding capability, and I am on good terms with Robe, yet you see me not as a GM, yeah I run the debate forums..but thats not really modding and it was not an act in their time... Then again I did not apply! hahaha...I want to say this, I really do so here I go...
I was most likly not made a mod because of my constant attacks on how the mods should do there job, and how things need to be fixed. Its probably because of this that killed me off as being a mod. The sad thing is though, they dont see the kind of person I am. Yes, I point out the problems that you all dont like to hear, but thats a good characteristic. If anything, the Admins and Mod Team need to start opening there eyes and seeing the flip side of the coin.
I hardly think that was the reason lol... but you can keep kidding yourself..
I know what ive said wont change anything about me becoming a mod or for all those else that probably got the **Filtered** end of the stick, while some others that dont actually deserve the mod position get to see it.
Im still recovering from my night out last night, so I am just gonna stare for this part of my reply as the above is your honest opinion and I dont fancy being too Dr Cox today...so...
*stares*Its sad to hear about Clarkey leaving as a mod, he was very good at his job, even though he did make mistakes here or there, but overall his consitancy is what shows the most, he did his job to the letter and did it well. Kinda reminds me of another mod that was "let" go just rescently to...
Are you referring to Nimras? He was not a good mod..I dont think I have seen a mod annoy more people in the entire time I have used the forum. He was not quite the man for the job. He was right, I dont dispute that, but not popular... In the case of mods you have to be a little of both as you are dealing with a place of fun and enjoyment with real people in it, who really, if we bottom line it, dont have to do a thing the mods say....
Clarkey is a good lad too and I would agree with what you said about him.As for Deni, We used to be friends, you used to be a nice person, really you were. You actually cared for your friends, but once you went into DDE, you changed, and not for the better. You abbandoned your old friends to make room for your "new" friends. Its sad to see you become who you are, even if its only a game personality, its still very sad to see what has happend to you. Deni, if you read this, ill still try to be your friend, I really like talking to you, and I still think you can be that kind, generous person you once were. As for you as a mod, rumors are rumors, people calling you bias and so on, honestly, I wont comment on that because I never actually saw any of it, but what I did see was your constant disregrad for respect when speaking to users, this came from your "new" friends over at DDE....
Such is the nature of a game, thats all it is...but otherwise...fair enough... Anyways, thats what I have to say on this subject, unfairness still seems to be in the system, but really, what can you do when the people in charge just dont give a damn about who actually matters and who doesnt.
Thats not right, to be honest and semper personality aside, its an unfair thing to say. Would you like some salsa for that chip on your shoulder?

im going to say this once.
We as new mods are doing thier best to keep the forums clean we are not being bias. I for one will never move to that.
I was put in a mod postion for a reason. that being said Bill if you will have a look at the generals post. and decide for yourself.
But as for a bad track record for the new mods. there may be a few of us that have been unfair or demeaning in the past but give them a chance to prove themselves before you try to knock them down. they are after all doing this for free.

I realize you requested that moderators shouldn't post in this topic, but I'll do my best not to derail the thread or infect the masses with my Goebbels like propoganda. If you want me to delete my post afterwards, then please PM me and I'll be happy to do so.
Unless Deni and Clarkey choose to publically reveal their reasons for leaving, then I'm not going to violate their privacy by speculating or discussing it myself. If you really want to know, then my best advice is to ask them personally.
The mod team has always had a high turnover, and it's always changing constantly. With all due respect to Clarkey and Deni, whom I both feel did an amazing job as moderators, their departure isn't going to "make or break" the team. Nobody's is. Even if the admin all decided to elope to the Caribbean together, it wouldn't spell the end for the forums. The team has always been changing.
With regards to the new moderators.. well, the bottom line is that you can't please all of the people all of the time. I wasn't doing backflips about some of the choices, to be honest, but I'm willing to give them a chance and see how it goes. It's also worth bearing in mind that ALL of the new moderators are on a 30 day evaluation basis, and by no means permanent. If there's a problem with any of them, then bring it up with either their section leader or the ombudsman, and I'm sure it'll be taken into account.

Well, I quit, was then away from home without internet access for 3 days, get back and see my name plastered everywhwere lol.
First off, thank you to those that posted here about my Modding. Yes I made mistakes and I don't regret making those mistakes because then i'd be regretting the fact that I am human.
GC - a dead horse, lol that made me laugh.
Now to the "stuff"..... Should I publically post my reasons for quitting.... no not really, will I post my reasons.... no i won't, not in detail. I quit my mod position for many reasons, there was not a single factor. The only people i told my full reasons to for quitting are the 3 admins.
The reasons involved RL (largely), BC Forums (that one's obvious) and a mix of the Mod team and also very importantly the "PEOPLE" on this forum. As I said I will not reveal my reasons for leaving, but every single person needs to look at themselves and see how they act on this forum. I will not accept people blaming the admins or the mod team for me leaving because my decision weighed heavily on the "community" in general and RL.
i enjoyed modding, i'm glad I had the opportunity, and it is sad to leave the team especially when new people have joined. And even if there are those that are happy I left, then no you don't win, you are still your sad little selves that need to look at yourself and realise what sort of person you are.
I leave the Mod Team with my head held high. i do not "hate" anyone on this forum, even though I can throw a hissy fit on occasions..... ok several occasions.... ok a lot damnit!

even though you most likely cant see it now, similar sentiments are held within the mod area: its sad to see you go. and yes, good luck with whatever you do from here.

funny, i have gotten PMs from people who used to be moderators, and they complained about the behavior of the current moderators..
i don't know about the other moderators, but clarkey is abusing his moderator status and covers for his friends etc etc
(his friend REK called me a pedophile, he didn't get as much as a warning, then i insulted clarkey and BLAM i got banned)
sofar deni is the only moderator who judges based on THE RULES and not his personal feelings.

lol so how have all the other mods judged on their personal feelings?
if you can't give examples then don't claim otherwise.

Nope. *shakes head* I don't have an issue with understanding.
What am I supposedly "misunderstanding"?
Are you jealous because I became a Mod? jealousy is not a good thing.... it eats you up inside you know.

your lame atempt of angering me failed horribly.
i am not in any way jealous of you, i just think you are not entitled to be a moderator.
