Why does it happen that when you attack someone who MS is not equiped, you do no damage, but they do damage to you.

???? uses its Energy Volley to inflict XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX damage, destroying 0 Energy Shields on ??????
Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 0 Nuclear Volley, and totally destroyed 0 fleets!
??????? XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX additional attack onto their ground troops!

?????? uses its Nuclear Volley to inflict XX,XXX,XXX000 damage, destroying 1 Energy Shields on MY SHIP

But after a farming run, I could have lost about 90 shields.

So is this wear and tear or due to the MS exploding and my shields protecting me

i'll go with your ship has so many shields that they can take one or two damage without any problem but because the enemy has so few shields and weapons unlike your ship his are very hard to target because they are scarce so i think your ship can take the odd 1 or 2 damage that they can do because of the fact your shields are more widely spread

There's been lots of suggestion threads about how to deal with this.

I think this came in with the update and is probably destroying some of those 'bonus' shields 'cos I know I never used to lose any shields against a flattened MS.
