ok, what has been going on in Spam Temple is getting beyond a joke.

Mods locking and now deleting threads.

I cant see any good reason behind any of it.

Maybe a Forum Users voice can be heard for once. Mine seems to have gone ignored.

the deletion of topics should be dealt with... it is fully against moderator team policy... and has been so for ages...

I told you, it was a mod MOD not plural, the singular form. The misc mods had NOTHING to do with it, and are quite displeased.

A policy I lobbied for, and still hold as if it were one of the "ten commandments". So again, Temptress, we had nothing to do with it.

Yes it may have been ONE mod that deleted 3 pages of threads, but I suspect it would never have happened if certain other events were not happening in the spam temple.

and re-opened and locked and partly re-opened...

it is going to be looked into... the decision will be announced after it has been made... unfortunately we do not think it will be possible to properly recover most of those threads...

What can one do against a completely drunk and non compos mentis moderator with superpowers?
Nothing.
It's not like we take a breath test each time we log on.. so a drunken Digi (this time, who's to say it will not be Clarkey next time? Although the sections a simple mod can delete are less, of course..) cannot be prevented from (theoretically) deleting every thread in the forums, as long as they have enough time and no active admins online.


If the damage is severe enough, just roll back the backup from last time the stuff was all there. If it isn't, act against the culprit, but tough luck for the damage done.

yes, its difficult when there is only one section affected, since then a rollback would cause much harm to the rest of the sections...

Where did this drunk stuff come from?

Bad that topics deleted weren't only long forgotten couple posts topics..

I say it will not be me next time. Due to the fact i have been diabetic since i was 16 i hardly ever get drunk, and i'm probably healthier for it. And the times I do rarely get drunk when i come home i pass-out on my bed, i'm not sad enough to logon to my computer.

And I hope you have evidence to back-up your claim that DaDigi was drunk.

EDIT: i didn't mean I hope you have evidence so that we can use it, I meant I hope you are not assuming he was drunk and making a story up.

indeed... thats why it most likely wont be done if that is the only way...
