Income

Since miners and lifers have been removed, we are introducing a new income system. The thought being that all defence units will be able to produce income per turn. However these units must also defend your realm, depending on how often you've been attacked in the last 24 hours it may reduce the income of these units by up to 50%.

We will not want attack units to produce an income because attack units should be busy attacking and shiping stolen naq back to your realm.

I've also been throwing the idea of upkeep around, not sure if I will put this in or not.

As for your idea, sounds good. Just keep in mind with everything killable, and no bank incomes will be low, techs will be hard to come by, maybe a mantanace cost might be a bit much?

Try it and see is all I can say.

No miner = no bank.

If you base it on UU then when someone is massed and lose 1/2 their UU does that mean 1/2 their banked naq comes out? See where this is going?

Damn, I really hope therell be a bank...I remember how it was (quantum wave 11 if not mistaken) in the quantum old school server (I played it all wave, 3 monthes)...it was like *all* your free time had to be spent on this game, to grow and keep up with others, in other words, addicted people being the most likely to win. I felt I was like slave of this game, him stealing all my free time. :(

If there is a bank, it won't be baised on UU. Instead it would be like a vault in your realm with extra security, not immune to an attack just less is stolen from the bank in an attack. There would also be a cost attached to using/having a bank.

A very intresting idea you have there mate.

To be new your sure seem to know alot about how these games operate.

So bascially you can completely stall someones growth, defenders = income,

So say someone annoys me, or i join this game to become a real pain in the ass, me and a few mates get together go hit on 1 account over and over, keep it defenseless, they make no income,

No income, no naq, no naq no weapons, no repair naq, no growth.

By setting it this way, you can make it that those who get in early enough and band together in same alliance of group can dominate the server......

and to answer ur ?, no there will not be ms/planets since this is going back to old school sgw before all that stuff.

maybe make a new unit type 'laborers' or some kind of unit that functions as your income and bank....
