I'm more concerned with the new shows that are just barely hanging on, waiting to really get kicked off. When they go on hiatus, what effect does that have on their viewership? It would seem to me as though they would get lost in a sea of new shows and those end up on the chopping block, like all the other awesome shows that were killed prematurely.

I hate them... I would murder the person who thought them up. On the other hand, gives me one extra thing to look forward in the new year.

Hey I don't mind them I don't watch those shows anyway. But thanks to reruns and the internet I get to watch my favorite shows.

Breaks in any TV show sucks. Period.

You love to watch it weekly on TV, then you come to watch it one week and it's gone. You find out it will be on in 3 months, then forget.

That's my point exactly! How many great new shows get forgotten about and fall to the wayside because of these BS mid season breaks?

Many many many shows.

I got into that "The Unit" show once, it disappeared. I loved House in the first season but lost track. I loved Smallville but I ended up loving it so much I found out where I could get information from it from since it's filmed in Vancouver. Same with SGA, and SG-1. So many good shows. Silly people. :(

I download all the shows I watch as I live in Ireland and can only watch them on tv here months after.
That way when I look for shows I always find the shows I like and download the new episodes and the shows still running that I like never disappear :)
