Don't say we didn't warn you about this stuff.

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stomping on a human face -- forever."

George Orwell.

What will you do now? Bury your heads and wait for your own bullet?

If you can't see whats going on here your a lost cause, no longer Human, just another corporate consumer monster.

Discuss as you wish.

(Can't wait to read the first post from some idiot trying to justify this).

One incident, one man. If it was a police state the fact that I speed, drink underage, and smoke weed would have had me killed months ago =]. The power of American law force is laughable at best. This country is still run by the elected bureaucracy we established centuries ago. There is no police state, because that man will probably be investigated, sued for everything he's worth by some slimy damage lawyer, and removed from the force. The people of this country wouldn't allow a police state to form, its to late in our development for that to happen without resistance. There is no police state, you're merely paranoid.

Long live the police!

God.. I wonder why people like those complaining about the coming New Order aren't being deported to the many concentration camps across America. Shame really, now they keep influencing us negatively.
On the other hand, it's quite good. You know, they really should keep those prophets of doom around. I mean, seriously.. when we're faced with unending doom, horror, and loss of all human rights.. one can only say: "zomg" and move on.

So, Snake. You're supposed to convince me of either there being a bad police state (since there's a diff, good police states like North Korea we like), or of me being a corporate being (amusing at best, if you'd ever see me you'd see the pinnacle of corporateness)? :)
I'm convinced of the second, and quite in favour of a good police state.

Heck, if it were up to me, EVERYTHING would be organised for me, and set in rules. I only wish it would be global, so I wouldn't have to hear all those **Filtered** reports of war here and war there, and protests by idiots in Greece, destruction of monuments in Egypt and Bamyian, demolishing of historical artifacts..
Heck, all I want is to enjoy the rise of the sun in the morning and the setting of same in the evening. Good food and good living, that's all I seek.
And since I have that, everything else can just cry as much as they wish. I have no morals other than to prevent my own unhappiness. Which I do, successfully.
To illustrate, if I feel bad about some Sri Lankan kid dieing, I transfer a few k dollars to some fund which cures that. If I feel bad about Africa, I assist some country there with their national debt. It's simple. If I feel bad, I do something. If I don't, I'm happy not to do or need anything.

And North Korea... Kim-Il-Sung is depicted as GOD there (statues everywhere, blatant worshipping of leader, life of people turning around that, must be exciting life roflmao), and Kim-Jong Il his son, as the son of god.
Having complexes of height (he's small height leader lol, Bush said he was a midget or something like that rofl), feeling he's awesome and affraid of everything (he asked russian governement, when he visited Russia, to have *all* trains circulating in Russia stopped when he did travel to Moscow, talk of cowardness lol). Finally, nobody has the right to get out of country, and almost all your life is based on worshipping the leader. And it works, as population has nothing and most is totally uneducated (or not properly at all). Suffering from famines almost every year.
It's last Stalinist political system alive as of now...

I have been discussing this in another forum for a couple days now, The LEO was negligent in his use of the weapon and kept his finger on the trigger when removing it (good job rookie). Due to the stress of the situation his sympathetic nerve system acted by squeezing the trigger ( keep your booger hook out of the trigger guard!). He will be charged with negligent homicide or involuntary manslaughter. Probably the latter seeing as he already resigned over the incident.

Some people shouldn't be given a gun or authority for that matter. Universe and Semper being perfect examples.

Your misguided attempts at painting Law enforcement with the same brush over the incident Snake, show your agenda and lack of understanding of context in which the person was being arrested. *sigh

Apophis your argument is hinged towards the, clearly sarcastic, statements Universe made.

Sadly, everything I did say about North Korea is true...
That's a bit frightening thinking about it.

You seem like a logical man apophis, but your belief in the acceptance of Kim's goberment by his proletariat is a little off base.

They hate him quite a bit... and the only reason he maintains power is because of the mutual destruction he's imposed on South Korea should anyone attempt to dethrone him.

I was just making point of how when someone is not following procedure they can accidentally discharge their weapon. Since universe was trolling a bit, i made a joke at her expense (not personal ignore the title of clip)

It's always fun to troll conspiracy theories...(not really one here, I know)
Being a former conspiracy theorist, I know perfectly most of conspiracies in place.
And oh god they made me yawn on uni wednesday about stuff being untold to us by TV blah blah..

I didn't even try to reply so much it sounded like broken record.

Like: "TV is censoring stuff, they are all biased and don't tell the truth, we are being lied to"

I couldn't care less what people think of main sources of infos, but if I look for international infos, I use cnn.com (or euronews, depends).

Apparently, Kim Jong Il also made a movie where he's portrayed like a James Bond or something.
I heard it, not sure of it.
