"Customer" support.

Well recently i have got banned again by the autobann script. The problem i see is that it is already 3 days since i've got banned and no answer from the admin, even tho i mailed him.

I was thinking that there could be a mod or something, that would have a job of making shure that the problems with autobann script reach admins ears really soon.

I mean i don't buy it that it takes admin 3 days to unbann me. Than i know i haven't cheated so that is even a bigger reason. Not to mention what happens when i get unbanned, probably when i'll be sleeping, and will be out there in war with 3 alliances without PPT and without my planets merlined..

I could go on with the issues that surface here, but wouldn't it be great that there would be someone with direct link to admin, who can unbann ppl, and that such issues would be filtered out and resolved asap ( by asap i mean within 48 hours, unless if all the admins are unavaliable, than its acceptable).

Thats what i have to say, i hope you feel me :)

Well we have been begging for unbanned account to go to a "vacation mod" like stat to protect them until they log in.

The sad part is the cheaters and exploiters are walking free while innocent accounts are regularly punished for the cheaters and exploiters actions.

Direct link to Admin for this would be nice

I don't think anyone here will be given access to unbann accounts tho. The claims of bias would be far and wide no matter who got it or what alliance they were in. Thats why Admin Mark was brought in. Sadly hes been off a few days.

Would be interesting to know what % of autobans have been the result of ACTUAL cheating and remained banned, and what % have been the result of ERROR on behalf of the autoban for not cheating.

My guess:

Actual Cheating: 5% (most likely even less than that maybe even 1%)
Errorenous Ban: 95%

I think i've caught more cheats than the autoban! :?

I wasn't suggesting another person to be given the unbann option, i was just suggesting that if each section can have its own mod, why not apointing a trustworthy person to be a mod/admin that would have a direct link or any other form of letting admin JAson/Mark know that some1 was a victim of the autobann script again.

And because the email thingy doesn't work the way its supposed to, or is known by to many ppl the inbox is probably too flooded, thus taking too much time for admin to actually get to a valid unbann request.

So the one person to mod that section would be given a whole separate email, only entrusted to him or any other way of contact, so the mod in question could filter out the requiests that would be reasonable, and he could forward them directly to the admin with ability of unbanning ppl.

This would be less work for admin, so he could get trough the asap cases faster.

I was referring to the admin communication problem. As soon as I know details, you'll know.

Hello,

All auto banned have been dealt with at this time. The issues with autobann should be brought up at the Wednesday online meetings.
