Who thinks our admin should be an active player ingame? Not just an account that sits there, but an actual ingame player. I guess ill make it a poll.

I say yes. Would be very interesting how Gary played.

I would say yes, not just to see him play, but so that when he puts out an unpopular update he has an account that we can actually mass....jk

Seriously, if he has a normal account, he might be able to better deal with game balance and other issues that arise.

That would be why I made an account. Once this is live go easy on my or I might have to smite you... It wouldn't even take long, I figure about 30 seconds, 10 to login to the database, 10 to find your account, and 10 to write out the command that deletes your account.

Yea good. Other admins just sit there lazily.

Which is why I made this... to show how much we hate that and how much we'd rather you played

I think for his own safety it is not a good idea for any admin to have an active account, at least to the knowledge of all but a few.

Its not so much as I not trusting him, but other people may not, things can happen and fingers can very easily be pointed to an account that has the potential to hold all the aces.

So I think it would be wiser not to have one.

I agree with Semper.

First off its not up to the players to decide Admins actions, its up to Admin.

Secondly it is a bad idea all the way around. Even if he played 100% legit can you imagine how upset a player who didnt know it was admin would be if this seemingly normal account laid waste to his?

He can't honestly play normal as that means he has to actively att and farm, then cries of bias as he hits one alliance more then the next, and a small alliance cries they are being held down by admin, if its big guys they claim they are being held back by admin so others can catch them.

Its a slippery slope to try to climb

What else is there to say but that I agree with both Lore and Semper? ;)
Yup.. that's the way it is. If Gary wants to play, he can. If he doesn't, he can too. :)

Definitely see why it can be a bad idea, but I also agree it is Gary's choice. I personally believe that with the right kind of people, it will not be a problem. Problem is it only takes one person to mess up that balance.

Trust me, the admin account will be parked when the game goes live. I'll have an alias that I'll use for the game. Which means no one will sit on my account :P
