The best Sci Fi Series that never was?!?!! Disscuss my pretties!!!

Yeah the show got cancelled, which was ashame, it was alot of fun, The good thing about serenity (the film) was that it didnt abandon the series alltogether, although you can just watch the film without haveing seen firefly, but its so much more gratifying to watch with the series, little inside jokes and so on. Theres actually talk of a second film... Alot like Jericho, which was anouther fine series, its fan base is exceptionally vocal and harass studio's alot. IDK how the hell buffy ran for 5 or 6 series (which was pants!), and firefly only ran for 14 episodes...It beggers belief.

FireFly ruled. Shame it was only so short.. though maybe, quitting at the top kept it 'ruling'?

if i was a producer and someone came to me saying that they had a great idea for a tv series, its basically wild west meets sci fi, i would've laughed in there face, but the end result is it was a cracking tv show that ended far to quickly, it had so much potential in regards to storylines and i found that there was still many episodes that they could have done to give a better back story to the characters, The series was better than the film but i still enjoyed the film they both left me panting for more, a second series would be awesome, but i'd be happy with a second film for sure! ~Thamuz~

A second series is a nigh on impossibility as the studio i cant remember who, fox?! still own the rights to it. Amd dont wanna recontinue the series, a film is not likely, but apparently not impossible!

I never seen it, but it sounds good and I might have a look for it...

Buffy wasnt bad, but serenity was just such a quality show...

loved the series i got all the episodes Hilarious all the way through good plot was shattered when they said it was canceled, River was turning into a ninja and everything

LMAO, The hero of Kanton, Hahaha, i loved any episode that jayne featured heavily in, Because :

Jayne is a girls name, but dont tell him that
Vera, Is surpriseingly, A very large gun
Dont tell him his hat is silly
He can throw a bowie knife at you from about 100 yards and win
He robs from the rich and steals from the poor , he doesnt care

And he is generally bad ass...And of course...The famous lines he comes out with ... On deception.... "Aint nothing but...a low down... dirty... Deciever!" And stood next to Mal... with the earpeice in "Can you hear hear me?" "Yes...your comeing in loud and clear... Cos your stood next to me..."

And yes! River Was turning into a bad ass Space Ninja Pirate cowboy, and frankly, thats a hell of a thing to be!

I liked Wash and the Captain tooo, But wash my favourate just on accounts of when you meet him, for the first time, he is playing with Dinosoars! The T - rex and Stegasouras where going to a new land to find a place to live, and as soon as they get there the T-Rex goes all mean on the Steggy who damns him for his "Likely but ineviatble betrayallll ahhrghh...."

lol yeah that was classic with wash but what about when jayne tries to trade male his awesome gun for the girl could go on and on about all the funny bits 10/10 for me definatly
