if you have a broker set to you, by some random, not some one you have discussed this trade with,
70b for 10m UU
and you accept, is that person a scammer or is it your stupidity ?

Both.
People should always check brokers, if they don't then = stupidity
If person purposely sets broker to trick someone = scammer
Definitions of scammer on the Web:
* swindler: a person who swindles you by means of deception or fraud

Gee Sally, lack of powers of observation qualify as stupidity.
Tell me once, I beg you, that taking a good look at your brokers doesn't prevent your problem altogether.
And don't forget, children, scamming prevails through the stupidity or negligence of the majority of people.
Why Clarkey, you beat me to the punchline.

well it's not scamming - one person's value of something may not correlate to what someone else believes it's value to be
£250,000 house......I offer £100,000 - I'm not scamming them....but granted they are stupid if they accept

the person who set the broker better have a good reason for missing the 3 zeros or they are a 'jerk' -- you didnt list that as an option
Everyone should pay more attention, no doubt.

brokers like this have been around for a good while, they seem to become a topic on the forums, then quiet down and after a few months appear again.

Lets look at this from two ways here Kids.
if A is you, and B is the other person.
If B makes tge trade offering 10mill of their uu for 70bill. Who the hell would not take it? Its not scamming, its the other persons stupidity or mistake. Their fault.
If B makes the trade, for 70b of their naq for 10mill of your uu. WHO is their right mind would take that trade? Perhaps some newb...either way its stupidity again.
Stupidity is your answer.
Though I ponder.. is not stupidty a part of scamming..so is this entire topic and question not completely pointless? Hmm....perhaps the different taboo's placed on each word make the circumstances so ultimately different.
*whispers*
I will let you so darn intelligent people figure this trisky one out... I am going to go catch a good old shower to get this ridiculous moment off of me before I become just as stupid...
*walks off*

It seems to me that like in all things you have got to watch the people that you are dealing with. Perhaps the person who fell for this deal didn't know any better that is not stupid that is ignorant. which for my money is what makes scamming possible, that and greed ofcourse

I would ask after if they wanted to sell for this price, and then give the real price minus what I already gave, because I am honest person!
