on many forums that i visit you as well as the several little buttons on the bottom right of every post (where the quote button and stuff like that is) you can also thank people,
basically what it is is that whenever someone posts something funny, worthwhile or you find interesting you can thank them and it goes to their profile, you can check what posts you have been thanked for as well as all of the posts that you have thanked people for (kind of like bookmarking them but with a little bit more rep behind it) for people who are great on the forums will obviously be thanked lots (ie. clarkey or lore who I hold the greatest of respect for) anyways thats my two cents on the situation

Does the Rep option work with phpBB? I've seen it on vBulletin, but don't know much about phpBB myself since i used it many years ago.

I'd edit the themes, with the right bribe(not money nor ingame crap wanted, but a mod or two of my own).
