OMG fanmail.

HAI guys, How are yall doing etc...
...Ive got a question for yall, well anyone who collects autographs, Most likely just me and clarkey...
Have you ever sent away fan mail and gotten a reply or a signing?
I few months back i sent a Very Hopefuly Letter and Photo to Ian McKellen, And got a reply within a week! He'd signed my photo...Which i thought was wonderful, but obviously, it ended up costing me about £10 as i'd had to pay for 2 envolopes, one to go there, one to go back (american address). I was really surprised to have gotten something back off such a massive actor. I'd sent them before to Patrick Stewart, and Brian Blessed, and had nothing back, So i was happy with this.
I going to try John Rys Davis in the next few days...
...ANyway, its just a lame hobby of mine, Ive brought loads of dealers and collecters, but this is the first one ive gotten myself off mailing, Its such an awesome.

Apparently there was an adress in the UK i could send it to, But your not there much and it takes 3 months for you to Reply, Did you get my letter i sent too? Explaining my love for you! xxx

Props Buck. I collect autographs if I ever get up the courage to talk to certain people.
I've got autographs from old Canuck players like Trevor Linden, Curk McClain and a few others. Safely stored away until I feel the need to hang upon my wall.

Well I do have over 200 autographs from actors, but mostly obtained in-person.
But I do believe I wrote to Danny John-Jules years back when Red Dwarf was on it's last series. I did get a reply from him, I was so chuffed.
If anyone wants to get in contact with Cliff Simon (he played System Lord Ba'al in Stargate SG-1) then let me know, I have personal contact with him all the time.

I got Stza from Leftover Crack to sign my arm
Even talked to him for a while outside the gig. Should have got him to sign my Morning Glory CD but I was too busy being all in "awe" oh his epicness

I have two, and funnily enough I got both of them from different people on my 21st birthday. One is a framed picture of Michael Emerson, the actor who plays Benjamin Linus in Lost and acts as my avatar/signature. The other is a framed autographed picture of Henry Kissinger, who was a prominent US Politician during the seventies. I'm pretty chuffed with both of them, and they hold pride of place on my bedroom wall.
I'd love to make a habit of collecting them, but I fear that it's a passion which would be too expensive and time consuming for me at the moment. Maybe when I'm super rich in a few years.

These people perform a Job...
I dont go ask a doctor for an autographed photo...why would I ask an actor? Or a musician?
Some of them do it exceptionally...the amount of money they get reflects that, I am sure they dont need a group of sheep following them around telling them how great they are in fact not in 99% of the circumstances.
But meh...
what would the wise old Semper really ever know?
