Unit Production Increases

Why does the UP only increase by 1 every time? Its so expensive that its just ridiculous it goes up so little. Shouldn't it be more like five per increase.

5 would be pretty high.. I'd settle for 3, though I'm leaning towards liking the 1. :P

Don't be too eager for this game to speed up....thats kinda what killed main. Enjoy the slow, leisurely growth, watch the world go by from your mothership ;)

Hmm...not too sure on this now. Popular people with lots of people willing to click their link can massively outstrip everyone else long before the UP increases make a difference - and for no skill except getting people to click a link.....

And UP gets expensive....my next upgrade costs 202k naq :o :lol:

I'd probably say stick it up to 3 now before the "popular peeps" get too far infront ;)

yeah, I have to agree with you since it was made a popularity contest instead of skill and cunning.


That or just disable the unique link.

Apparently it is restricted already; but to what extent, I'm unsure.
Something in the vicinity of 50, I think.



10 would keep the max growth from Links at a quarter of the starting UP. Seems logical, and who couldn't find 10 people to click their link to optimally use it? :)
Do discuss.. I'd love to hear the various viewpoints on this. :)

10 is fine with me - I PMed Gary about a way you can easily abuse the link. Not sure how much coding it would take, might just be easier to disable altogether, but otherwise 10 is okay :P

Make the limit a % of your current UP? If not that then 10 per day is good.

lol, it's not really a popularity contest for clicks, more likely a proxy server finding contest :?

Clicks should be disabled for the 1st month in my opinion, after that it doesn't really matter too much, but restricting is probably a good idea even after that.

Yep....thats what I tested and PMed Gary about....but he's done nothing about it.... :(

How hard would it be just to remove the link altogether? It can't appear on that my pages of code.....oh well

True, without limiting to 10 people can get ahead quick, cause i honestly cbf getting millions of people to click my link, or maybe I'm just unloved *cries* lol

Makes me think how useless the link in main SGW is . :lol:
