I've heard so much about the Tok'ra on these forums, and I have no idea what the Tok'ra are in relation to Stargate Wars.

Some one reply with an answer to me question:

What are they?!

The term Tok'ra is acctually made up of 2 words Tok (Against) and Ra (Ra being the goa'uld that was killed in the SG Film) thus Tok'ra (Against Ra)

The Tok'ra are identical to the goa'uld in that they are paracitic in nature, they need a host to survive. Unlike the goa'uld they will only take a willing host, the will enter through the mouth to cause less pain to the host, they do not fight each other for power and they share control with the host.

Since there are only 4 races in SGWs I can only assume that anyone that is in the goa'uld race that wishes to help the Tauri (Humans) is considered a Tok'ra.

P.S. Selmack is a Tok'ra so expect a little flaming from some users

um why dont the makers put the tok'ra in this grab for power. and how about the nox and the anciets.

Reasons why they didnt (my guess):
Tok'ra: They infiltrate the goa'uld, so must blend in as Goa'uld...
Nox: ... I could point out the stupidity of this suggestion... but... this is war... nox dont fight
Ancients: It would be cool, but there all ascended (that we know of...)

i think like then ancients could come out of a pocket of space that was hidden for a while but the battle though out the galixy caused them to come out again. that would be a really good idea. any ways yea the tokra should come out though like there fortifacations should be upgradeable. underground tunnels. while there wepons should be both tari and gould. that would be a good idea. or so i think at least i dont know how it sounds to you guys but what ever.

I personally like the current races. Maybe one more, but not too many...
I still have to disagree with the tok'ra thing. Having them as a separate race would take the fun out of infiltrating the goa'uld and acting like them to spy on them (or something like that)

i think the takra schould have a spy and covert defence bonis against the gould like soemthing like 50% or something. that would be interesting

ur 100% wrong about the ancients beging ascended most of em are but some remain and they can ALL chose to take human form again.......

and there is chance they will add the ancients coz they got destroy everyone with ease........
basically their smallest weapons would 1 million points to it.......
ffs they invented the stargate, timetravel, a weapon that could destroy the galaxy, a powersupply that lasts for 100 million yrs, their lttle shuttle could take out a mothership!!!!

Okay, name me one ancient that is in human form on the show. Sure, they can take human form if they choose to, but as far as we know, they're all ascended (or dead from that plague)

So, name one of the ancients who you say "remain." From the show of course.

there was only one ancient that was on the show that survived and was not ascended..... however she did die in the end from the plague when she was revived from the ice...... just wondering but y didn't the "others" help her ascend?

many ancients remain behind because of there fights or w/e u want to call em not obeying the ancient "Law" i dont kno there names but.....
the one who revived from the ice; the one who followed carter later ascended once again few more
but it doesnt matter ancients would have no purpose they would be 2 powerful for the game...
a suggestion would be make stargate atlantis wars
have the races
ancients or atlantis
teylas race
wraith
and the race that invaded atlantis and lost the jenia or however u spell em

Me 2 lol:) but then the goauld should have a bonus against the tok'ra because of how much they hate them.

and would it be that hard for them to synthesise naq?


yeah if u follow the story line of sg1 or atl there is no chance any other race could conquer the aincents unless there were a limited # of ancient ppl

oh and the accended ancient deal, there is an ancient on atlantis, athar the one shep falls in love with. while she is not soposed to leave the planet im not sure that she is accended
