OK, let's dispense with the obvious comments, so let me explain

I have 2 computers on the same broadband connection, and this one can log into this forum and the other one can't.

I am reporting this bug on UPSTAIRS and can't log in DOWNSTAIRS.

Downstairs, when I click on the link
http://herebegames.com/StarGateWarsNew/

I get asked to supply name and password details, which I do, and do again and again, as it claims the password is wrong

I use the same password as for SGW Main (obviously, I am not putting that here).

Then it says I have entered the password too often and puts up one of those random number and letter combinations. Entering this also fails

Then in a fit of doubt, I click on the link that looks something like

I have forgotten my password

and the machine tells me that such a user name does not exist

Now, normally, I would just assume that this was all my fault and down to some computer setting only the young understand... however, I note that SGW is laggy as anything and the overall ranks aren't updating

So in case this is connected I am reporting that I can't log into this forum either

Have you tried with an alternative browser?
Just thinking...
