According to the game rules, a player is only allowed to have 1 account. This rule however is an exception when moving between an old account, to a new account. Norbe is not doing this.

He has 2 accounts, and admits to have his second on vacation mode. Im not trying to ruin fun for anyone, but rules are rules.

Norbe took this banning issue to Jason at yesterdays IRC meet.
He explained everything to Jason including the account on vac mode. Jason unbanned all accounts including the account on vacation mode, therefore no punishment is expected because Jason would not have done what he did yesterday.

IF Norbe ever deleted his current one and brough his old one off vac mode and started playing that then yes it is cheating, but I doubt he has any intentions of doing that.

How do you figure that

He could have 10 accounts on vac mode, but he cannot send stuff to them nor receive from them, so how is that multing as he has no benefit from an account that is on vac mode,

That truly does not make sense, also if he deleted his current one and went back to play his old one, how is that cheating, as again the account is on vac mode thus no boost of benefit from it,

Or did i miss an update while ive been away.

Admins have spoken to me about this in the past.... if someone puts their main account on vac mode, creates a new one, causes some trouble by massing people etc etc then deletes that account and brings their old on off vac mode and continues to play as normal whilst no-one else knows who that other account was, therefore that guys main account not receiving any retaliation....... then that is deemed cheating!!!!

I have to agree with that ruling there. And as with most cases of cheating and multi'ing its dealt on at a case by case basis. that's why after a few email's and PM's everything is cleared up. Admin does their job well and to the best of their ability. I'm an IT guy and i wouldn't be able to run anything of this magnitude.

Wasn`t this the same thing why Caprica with blahh`s account was banned?

How is norbe`s situation any different when technicaly is the same as caprica`s (epic god)?

Epic God had 6 or 7 maybe more accounts.

I dont really see the point in this topic, nor me replying, but i'm gonna do it anyway.

That is exactly what i'm doing. What is the difference between deleting the old account and putting it on vac mode forever? Its still out of the rankings, inaccessible, unused. The only difference is the possibility that the account could potentially be restored at a later date if its on vac mode. I can't see any reason why I would want to do this for me personally, but say if one of my friends decided to start playing the game, instead of having to help him build up from scratch I could give him the account that I had previously ascended a couple of times. Thats pretty much the only reason why I put it on vac instead of deleting.

The other possibility is knowing me at some point i'll decide to quit again. Maybe next time it'll stick. Maybe not. But if six months down the line i quit, then six months later decide to start again I might be able to avoid starting from scratch. Its that kind of "what if?" scenario which makes vac mode a preferable option to deleting the unused account.

In response to Clarkeys (and Admins) view that if I attacked a lot of people then switched over to the other account to avoid retaliation, I have already publically posted both IDs on the forums. So somehow I doubt I could expolit this even if I wanted to (and for the record I dont, retaliation makes the game more fun )

I can't comment on what Caprica may or may not have done in the past simply because im not in possession of all the facts. If admin banned him then he must have been exploiting something in the rules to gain an unfair advantage. If admin felt I was doing that then i'm sure he would have said something. His words to me were "Just make sure you dont log into the other accounts". Which I dont. Full stop. Period. Semicolon. Hash Key.
